As a nation pakistan has been a very promising cricket superpower right from the year they started to play and the induction in ICC. If you talk about two teams in South East Asia that has the high performance level and good potential of organizing multi-sectoral divisions of the sport - then you have to admit India& Pakistan. Both of the team had glorious past and the glaring future yet to come, most of the time Indian cricket comes on the point of discussion, but Pakistan lag behind.
India produces class battters each time they host the inner state cricket, and it has become a brand, to be honest. On the other hand, Pakistan was on the complete opposite - they kept bringing the quality pacers and seamers who established their cricket as global indicator. Now,if I ask a few of the people who have had a solid learning acquaintance with the cricketing discipline - very naturally they would recognize Shoib Akhter. He was a legend and a consternation of his time and the then batters could say that well.

Today,Babar Azam is the current captain of Pakistan in all the three formats of the game. Not because he has the ability to hold the captaincy for a longer period, but he can lead the team from the front in tough situations. There was a time when Pakistan had the worst experience of play, they couldn’t score big runs and their batters specially the openers and middle order failed too many times and left the team go down the slope of ICC team ranking.
Yet, what has rescued the cricket in Pakistan was the bold spirited line up of young generations who came forth and secured a good position in national team. Some of the players took responsibility and they performed consistently, for example: Babar Azam was such a guy who started playing just in the days of his childhood and when he grew up finally gathered into the national team early and gained his position as the leading opener.
His consistent run scoring capabilities made him to be a star and so many fans in Pakistan and Indian cricket started to compare him with Virat Kohli, for how he looks like and his similarity with the indian run -machine,Kohli. But, things started to move away and when Babar handled the responsibility of leading the Pakistan team in all three formats, which possibly created the busy duty to join in all the tours and play in and abroad, then things are pretty tough to perform the same.
The multi-tasking, at one side to play and be the captain created the low ebb of his performance as an opener. We all know, that Pakistan lacks in batting and there arent quality batters to score tons like India and Aussies, but Babar is such a player, who is quite dependable in the way he gets runs. Recently, the PCB wants to turn him out of captaincy and replace him with another bowler Shahin Afridi.
Now, this would be a smart move I think if the team management focuses on handling responsibility of captaincy to someone who has proven already that anytime if the team needs him-he would be there to grab it. Shahin took his team to the victory of PSL championship twice when he was handed as the harbinger of the domestic cricket.
This shift of captaincy at one point would reduce the pressure Babar feels because he can now focus on his top duty that is to -bat and pick up consistent runs that would enable him to contribute in batting strengths. Hopefully, they come up with something positive in the future.
