Mostly tiny bets yesterday but they did produce some ok profit combined. On Sunday pretty much a similar scenario where I have a hard time to find something to bet pre-game so most action will be live
Genk vs Sint-Truiden
Genk has been one of the better teams this season but somewhat dropped their form in the past 2 matches. Away against Mechelen, they took an undeserved win and against Kortrijk away they took a surprising but not fully undeserved loss. They lead the ranking of xg over the first 10 weeks with an average of 2.53 created while on average they also had 1.28xg against. This results in them being one of the rare over teams against the asian handicap but only rarely and there is a divergence being under at home and more overish away. Generally, they have been a team who have beaten their handicaps so they certainly are an option as a team to back. Another surprising statistic is that only 15.4% of their goals at home came in the 1st half. Stvv got a new coach with Mazzu and since have yet to lose with 2 wins and 2 draws. The main thing that stands out is that they have low xg against in away matches at 0.71 & 0.74 as Mazzu is known as a defensive coach. I'm fully expecting Stvv to play on the counter with the main goal to keep their sheet clean as long as possible and maybe score one on a breakout as Genk isn't 100% secure always in the back. I took cautious pre-game positions of 0.225 units on
1H under 1.25 @ 1.875; 0.075 units on
1H Under 1 @ 2.460 along with 0.1 unit on
Under 3 @ 1.900 all 3 with an eye to hedge out or middle if needed. Stvv since Mazzu came also has been high on corners in all 4 matches going over 11 with an average of 14 while Genk went to 9 or higher in 4 of their 5 home matches so that is also an option.
OH Leuven vs Antwerp
OHL so far has been the disappointing revelation of the season as they showed good things and also have the quality player group. Too often though they showed a lack in belief which leaves them in 14th place now with a difficult match ahead against Antwerp who generally have been one of the better-playing teams. I see OHL as a team that can win against anyone even as a big underdog. Form of the day will be a factor but I need more from thel compared to what they showed in recent matches to be really willing to back them especially against Antwerp who are on my list of teams that can be bet. OHL is the team with the 2nd lowest xg against and they do put focus on defense while somewhat lacking in the offense. The main statistic that stands out is that OHL is 9W-1L on over 9.5 corners this season and this while it never feels like they are a team that is pushing and creating a lot of corner danger. For now, I'm just sticking to
No Pre-Game Bets and opt to watch how things go first.
Standard vs Charleroi
It's a small miracle how many points Standard already was able to take which is fully the accomplishment of their coach who just went full defense against his style as that is the only real way for them to get something. However, in the previous home match he gave it a shot to play more offensively with 2 striker which backfired as they lost 1-2 to Westerlo. So the main question now is if he once again will try this at home in the derby or just go back to what worked in making sure not to get goals against which came at the cost of not being able to create anything. Given that they also lost 3-0 away against Anderlecht I assume defense will be king again and it is also indicated by the line which is set at 2.25. Charleroi has looked quite good but they also failed to win in their previous 3 matches. The Dender defense was better than their offense in the last match and they only really managed to create corners and they lost that match with 1-0, The week before they took a deserved 1-1 draw against Club Brugge at home in a match where their players looked tired near the end which also was the case against Anderlecht the week before. There they took a 0-0 draw. The match now against Standard is a Derby, I see Charleroi as the team with a bit more quality but the home advantage should not be underestimated. A lot will depends on the intentions of both teams as this could potentially play out in a boring 0-0 game where neither team is willing to take risk. Charleroi when in the lead also tends to crawl back. Backing the team who falls behind on the corner handicap is one of the things that I'm keeping in mind.
No Pre-Game Bets
Kv Mechelen vs Kortrijk
Mechelen has been a team that put up surprisingly good performances while failing to take the points multiple times in these matches were they were better. However, in week 10 they took a 5-0 win at home against OHL with another excellent performance. They are a teal with a big divergence in home and away team as they are open high scoring at home (4W-1L on over) and under away (0W-5L on over). Kortrijk based on what they have put on the pitch has been a disappointment and it's a small miracle that they aren't in a relegation spot right now. They took a flattering win against Genk at home which might put them in a better mindset but overall I'm still going with them as one of the weaker teams. Mechelen has been a good home 1H team with now 3 wins in a ron while Kortrijk is 2nd last away with 3 Losses and 2 Draws. I took 0.3 units as an initial bet on
