Liverpool at Home playing under the Anfield light on a European night?

That's exactly the sort of game all football fans look forward to. The stakes go even higher when you remember the fact that we have a bit of history with the Coach of Bayern Leverkusen, who was once a Liverpool player.

Yeah! Xabi Alonso is the man.

He had a very good footballing career as a Liverpool player, and he is already making a good name for himself as a football Manager at Bayern Leverkusen. He was even considered to be the next in line for Liverpool's Managerial position after the end of Klopp's era. However, we got Arne Slot instead.

You see what I mean, right?

There's so much on the line for Liverpool in this game.

First Half.

Liverpool had a better start in the first half of this game than the way they played last weekend against Brighton. We balanced offense with defense. We tried to transition the ball quickly from the back line to the Forward line. We also had a couple of chances.

However, Bayern Leverkusen were equally as determined as Liverpool. I'm yet to look at the stats for the first half of this game. However, it felt like Leverkusen had more ball possession than Liverpool. They were very good and they tried to break Liverpool's defense with quick passes.

They even managed to get a goal in the first half. Tsimikas was smoked in the build-up to that goal. However, Liverpool were lucky to have the goal ruled off for offside. With that, the first half ended in a goalless draw.

Second Half.

This second half was a brilliant one for Liverpool. They completely outplayed Bayern Leverkusen in the second half... It was so unbelievable.

The first goal of the game was scored by Diaz. The build-up for that goal took only 3 passes from Liverpool's backline to the opponent's box. The assist was delivered by Jones and the goal was sumptuously finished by Diaz.

Scoring multiple goals in quick succession has ALWAYS been a Liverpool trademark. They have been doing it so well this season. That's exactly what they did immediately after scoring the opening goal in this game. This time around, the goal came from Gakpo and the assist was from Salah.

What a goal that was.

At this point of Liverpool being two goals ahead, with the decent defensive record we have, I was already comfortable that 3 points were sealed for us in today's game.

Despite being ahead with a two-goal advantage, Liverpool pressed on and managed to get two more goals in the last 10 minutes of the game. Both came from Diaz to seal his hat trick. This is the first hat trick Liverpool are getting in this Slot's managerial era. Awesome!

I'm glad about our performance tonight. Now, I'm looking forward to the weekend's fixture before the International break kicks off.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.

I was just so confident we'd win but I didn't expect a 4-0 scorelines...

So many of our players are taking on new form under slot, it's just so unbelievable..

Bro... Liverpool are getting wins in veye interesting ways despite having some injury issues with Allison, Jota, Elliott, and Chiesa.

It's also interesting to see the improvement in our defense.

It is a delight to watch 😂😂✨
