The 2023 report is out, and it has some interesting findings. The report analyzed the brand value of football clubs across Europe and ranked them based on their performance. Manchester City topped the list for brand value, followed by Real Madrid and Barcelona. Juventus, which was ranked 10th last year, slipped to 12th place this year, overtaken by Arsenal. Milan was the club with the highest growth in brand value, moving up six places to 16th place. Other Italian clubs that made it to the top 50 include Inter Milan (23rd), Napoli (28th), and Roma (33rd). The report also analyzed other business performance indicators such as operating revenue, staff costs-to-revenue ratio, and net profits. Manchester City led all clubs globally in total operating revenue generated for the second year running (EUR 731m), slightly outperforming UCL winners Real Madrid CF (EUR 714m). The largest year-on-year percentage improvement in operating revenue was seen by AFC Ajax (+51%), mostly thanks to reaching the Round of 16 of the UCL.
