The matchup between Chelsea and Real Madrid was one of the most interesting match I've seen in my life. I enjoyed every bit of that match especially when the goals started coming against the blues.
Why? You may ask there are many other classic matches that have been played and many more to come, why this one? Well let me just put it simply as this, I enjoyed seeing Chelsea loosing this one.
Ok, lets take it back a bit to the build up before the actual match where the ever vocal Chelsea fans had already won the game before it even started, just by talking or should I say making noise. They looked down on real Madrid like they were from the division 3 of England.
The vibes they have was understandable really and considering the fact that they knocked them out in the previous chapter of the champions league, they were a bit lucky on that one.
But come to think of it, was it not this same Chelsea that was thrashed by Christian Erikson's Brentford an outstanding scoreline of 4-1. I can remember at one point where they even claimed that Mendy could catch a spirit, but he's been shipping in goals and was ever so generous to Benzema in the last game.
Talking of the hat trick hero, he was at his absolute best in that game and wasn't in no mood for jokes. It was an excellent night at the office for him. For someone who didn't eat three square meal that day cos of the Ramadan fasting, scoring a Hat trick was the best compensation one could wish for. Did Chelsea fans actually forget that he had scored a hat trick in the previous match?
I must admit, even though I expected real to win, the noise from the fans made me think other wise. I feared that the noise they'd make if they won wouldn't let me sleep peacefully, thankfully they lost.
In the next match, they'll be more humble and maybe something good might happen and they exit the competition. Lol.
