As the relationship between the coaching staff and first-team squad continues to strengthen, Mauricio Pochettino thinks "very good things are coming" for Chelsea. Since Pochettino and his team first came at Stamford Bridge, it has been four and a half months. There has been a lot of effort put into creating relationships with players throughout that time, both on the Cobham training fields and inside the first-team facility.

The mood on the team stayed upbeat throughout preseason and the first few weeks of the season, when performances weren't translating to victories. And all tournaments have now yielded three straight triumphs as a result. Pochettino, though, is confident that as the campaign goes on, there will be much more from his team. Exclusively, he stated: "It's always about building a team," referring to the youthful team's desire to get to know one another.
We can only give the team what it needs through time and training. That is why, without a doubt, it is only a question of time. When evaluating players and the team, we must maintain composure. We are developing, and I believe great things are ahead. Even though there are ups and downs sometimes, you can still sense that. We will definitely succeed together in the end, though. It is well known that Pochettino and his coaching staff put a great deal of emotional energy into what they do.
The head coach of Chelsea feels that although that method of man-management is difficult, success depends on it. Today's young men require a lot of energy, according to Pochettino. "They always need your effort, your support, and your voice. They must have comfort and confidence. You must get to know one another and spend time together for that. The coaching staff has a tremendous task, but it's something we all like doing. Pochettino has had time during the international break to evaluate the development that has been made recently. However, there is also a chance to anticipate what can be accomplished this season after a number of players make their injury-related comebacks.
Several of our major players are hurt and unable to train and compete with us. That is very significant. You can see how different it is for a team like Manchester City and how they are impacted when there are only two players—Rodri and [Kevin] De Bruyne—on the pitch.
