  1. A new roadmap has been released which you can read above.

  2. The art team has been working on planet atmosphere with new art, audio, and visual FX. No ETA on this as it seems like a lot of work and EXODE values quality over speed.

  3. The most interesting part of this week's news is the "Faction Power" "which is related to the rarity and volume of cards you have of all released cards of a faction." - @elindos
    Faction Power will be useable as consumable boosts in your games, and for several conditions on evacuation fleets, likely related to "mission staking".
    The three ingredients to your Faction Power are:
    ""Diversification", meaning how many of the different cards you have (not including Elite Epics and Elite Legendaries but including Elite Rares).
    "Pure power", in terms of "volume and rarity", giving a different weight to common, rare, epic and legendary cards, and an additional weight (x50) for elites.
    "Faction reputation", which is something all players have at 0 at the moment and will be accumulated later thanks to in-game tasks, quests, campaigns and rewards (including Legacy Rewards)." - @elindos
    I'm not so sure how I feel about the Diversification factor including Elite Rares, because there are not very many and they are super expensive, but otherwise I think this will be a cool system.

  4. Faction Power "...won't be "a tradable currency", but nothing actually opposes that. We consider faction power to be an "influence" of sorts over a faction, so in time we may implement leasing options and once we have put enough utility layers to it, we may even deploy tokens for it in time." - @elindos
    I love the idea of Faction Power being influence tradeable in the form of tokens. I don't think I've seen an idea like this in a crypto game before and am very interested in how it could work.

  5. New GNN episodes will be made talking about Factions, Ships & their modules, and on planetary life.

This card is one of the most versatile in the entire game. While not as good of a fighter as Ayumi, she has some key differences that make her better in different roles. First off she is listed as "Civilian, Military, Noble, Specialist" which means you can bring her in any of those decks without requiring a Syndicate chip. She also has Warfare, Cover, Orders, Leadership, Charisma, and Speed. Essentially turning her into a leader who can fight. Where she really shines is her bound items. She also has a Syndicate Blade, like Ayumi, but she has K-Armor as well, which is amazing. Armor is one of the most expensive and most important things in this game, and being able to bring someone who already has a weapon and armor is one of the most cost-effective things you can do. I would recommend getting this card ASAP before people realize how powerful (and budget) she is.

I'm staying true to my Scientist origin: I want to research planets and new life, that's my biggest interest in Exode and I'm super excited to see how it plays out, even if Research is one of the harder ones currently

Scientist is high on my list, but I also like the corporate. If I go more combat oriented I will focus on criminal... Hard to decide. Corporate feels like a good candidate if you are thinking about hybrid decks, corporate - scientist is an interesting combination I will pursue.

I am very interested in the Corporate Contract that will likely come out during Beta. Really hope I have enough money to get some.

I definitely recommend buying some Rekatron weapons, they make your crew much more effective.

The Geneticians sound interesting as I always gravitate towards the research part of the games I play, canĀ“t wait for new boosters to come out and hopefully get some cards from this faction.

The roll out schedule is big. I am sure some of that work was done before and now being integrated into the game. Regardless huge push for Elindos to get that all out.

The faction feature is very interesting and posses some things to think about. I really like the scientist aspects of games, but if they are pure then they will not be as combat strong as military or some others. I think I will end up with some kind of mix of factions. I like syndicate for the battle aspect, I like the Flesh Cult because they look good and are into pureness. So if I can mix a little bit of science in with those two I will have a nice combination of skills and maybe semi-neutral to others.

The Geneticians may be a good choice as well, but my card base does not have many, like I have the ship ... I would like to find out more info about them before going that way.

I will be sitting back a bit and evaluating my card base and factions I have. Going Rekatron as a faction might be good too, everyone like arms dealers :)

As you can see I am completely undecided and will take me a bit to make up my mind.

I think that Flesh Cult/Science hybrid could work well since I think one of the Flesh Cult cards also has Science in it.

I'm probably going to pick Rekatron since I have the most Faction Power with them and just like you said, everyone likes arms dealers.

I think I will focus on the Military faction! After all, everyone is going to need guns no matter what and the military knows how to use those guns without penalty to accuracy. So I will gather what little weapons I have, along with my volunteer Drachian Troopers (and their bound equipment), and prepare to kill everything on my planet that moves. That would surely rack up some faction points!

Everyone needs a way to kill aliens and wildlife!

Really like the Scientist, because of the research of things. This is what a like most in games to do, research new stuff like upgrades etc.

Seems like that is the most popular choice. I did the same thing in Master of Orion II!

Recently, I have not play often, but I choose Syndicate fraction (If I remember correct) because I think Syndicate charter is cool and spacial; I like art style of Syndicate fraction.

Especially if you have a Syndicate Sponsorship, you can build up massive Faction Power with them.

Military for now. Feels like the military faction is the easiest at the moment. But I have a feeling that the research faction is the most important in the long run, so I'm still undecided.

I think that "Most Important" really depends on what you and your Alliance currently has. Definitely need a diverse skillset!

I CHOOSE THE REBEL FACTION!

Reasons of choosing it:

  1. @elindos said on it's POST introducing the rebel faction "THE REBELS ARE A STRONG FACTION BUT VERY SECRET IN ALPHA. WE LOVE THE REBELS AND THERE ARE MYSTERIES TO DISCOVER WITH THEM!".

  2. Some thoughts come out of my mind when I read the REBEL FACTION and that's "No one will Rebel if there's no reason to Rebel"

  3. I want to discover the MYSTERIES behind them!

Makes sense. Remember that you need 4 copies of "The Rebellion Secrets" in order to get the Achievement Rewards for Rebels.

I am considering choosing the Syndicate faction as my main faction due to my best cards so far have been won here and are both Syndicate cards. But I will wait a bit to measure how things are really working once it is released. I am interested in doing some reading around Contracts and how they work, they currently seem pretty pricy so I would like to know how good they are at adding to the collection.
