What is Astral Entities?

Astral Entities is an NFT project on Wax that aims to create one collection of NFTs that is usable across multiple games and blockchains with cohesive lore. The developer, Hella Rad Games, plans to include projects spanning as many genres as possible. Hella Rad Games was founded by Cryptoreaper and Tanzo, with the aim to create Crypto games that put fun before anything else. To learn more you can visit their website, or come ask a question on their Discord.

Official Business

No Cryptoreaper today due to having to deal with Covid, so Tanzo is fielding all of the questions this week.

The developer on Taergyn says the game should be ready by the end of next week or sooner. They are currently squashing a few bugs.

The developer on Discordant Adventures is still on schedule to have the game ready by end of July. They are currently working on the toolbox.

Tanzo has been working on the Peasant Set which will have base 9 stats (135 power) starting out. They are intended for people who come along after all the current cards are sold out, and will be sold through PayPal or something similar to help onboard people who don't know about crypto.

Tanzo has also been working on the Tradesman Set. They will have the tradesman trait. The tradesman trait will have a specific use in certain games and with land when/is it is released in the future. Each has a 12-point bonus and they will have 9s for stats across the board. That's a power of 147.

None of these cards will be released until after the mass adoption of the games.

Q&A:

Question: (No_Profile) My favorite AE NFT is Falconer. can you talk a little him?
Answer: Bear in mind most of the base NFTs aren't one specific person. Orcish falconers hunt rabbits. Orcs don't have rabbit traps. Rabbit pelts are often used for blankets and other things like that. When the Orcs are out on the plains the falconers serve as scouts, hunters, and foragers. They are trained from 2 or 3 years old and given a falcon egg to raise. This is usually accompanied by a ceremony of some sort. Usually involving a shaman. Falconers have a deep connection with their falcons, to the point that they can communicate with them to a point. There is usually only one falconer per settlement. The Falcons are parthenogenic having been touched by magic, and only lay 1 or 2 eggs in a lifetime. Magic users have tried to take what's happening there and repeat it and it has not gone well. I used to use Owlbears as the result of these experiments in my campaigns. The Falcons originally were raised and used by wizards as messengers before being stolen by the Orcs. A lot of Orcs were slaves to powerful wizards before escaping and taking the falcons with them.

Question: (Fame) Reaper is going to deal with Covid?
Answer: Yes, think Rambo but a robotics engineer vs anthropomorphized viruses.

Question: (Fame) What is the most common sport played between cultures in AE? E.g., a one-race sport like American Gridiron Football wouldn’t count.
Answer: In the Astral Sea, the city of Petrarcha has a gladiatorial arena. That's probably the biggest sport that goes on. The second is Taergyn. The arena in Petrarcha is magic thanks to being built on the body of a dead God of war and can be changed by mages to suit the type of challenge they want to put on. Not all are lethal.
(Note: Tanzo went on a long deep dive into the lore behind the sports below. It was too much to summarize but is worth listening to.) In Arcalia sports are a lot more local. Many kingdoms are massive but far apart. With the size of these kingdoms and the distance between them, most have their own sports. There is a sport that I haven’t named yet where people have to cross a field of pillars while an audience is below the pillars throwing things at the participants. Usually barley in bean bags. It's considered a badge of honor if you can knock someone off. Fencing is also very popular in many regions. In the West there are a lot of magic-based sports, and water-based sports are popular in bigger seaside cities.

!LUV for the reblog. :) thank you

Interesting read. I look forward to learning more.

Dear @horstman5, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago when the HBD stabilizer proposal rose above it.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
You can do it on Peakd, Ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
