Greetings, pilots!

A week has come and gone again. While the mastermind behind the project continues to code away like mad locked inside of a TOM Beauty Capsule, the rest of us sit on the edge of our seats ready to consume, I mean test! The commander is probably just doing some final tweaks to get the scene and immersive atmosphere just right. He pays close attention to detail, a great quality to have in his line of work.

☝️ Tip Corner

This is not financial advice, but rather gaming advice. Now that we will soon be getting our first glimpse at colonization, we will start seeing lots of new mechanics. Mechanics we could only speculate about before. With these new insights, certain cards might gain value. Even if you don't take this into consideration, a new game scene being released is plenty reason enough to stock up on some essentials.

The contracts are a great place to start. The circulating supply of all those cards is always increasing by the week so there is no shortage. The market is flooded with common cards like the Rekatron Firetalker, which you can acquire for just a few pennies.

Some other staples include the Happy 5 shelter, which I talked about before. Sometimes you can find good deals on epic cards like that on the market. If you do manage to snatch one up, you'll be happy to know you can fit almost your entire colony in there! Just don't be discouraged by its high energy cost. For that you might need a few WHC units. Foody-Moodies are the Firetalkers of TOM. Abundant, cheap, and essential.

Make friends! Join an alliance! Those in alliances will potentially have access to exclusive perks and shareable technologies! So go on out there and start networking! Join an existing alliance or, if none of them are the right fit, found your own. Who knows? Maybe one day it will grow and contend with the other superpowers...

🎁 Giveaway

This week, 3 people have a chance at winning:

I will be working on Ship Analysis, Analyze This Planet, New Habitats and then Collection. If my crew lives that long. I think I need a working ship, so it needs to be first priority. To be sure this planet is going to be good, it needs to be analyzed. If it looks like one could live on the planet, its time to make Habitats and concentrate on collecting what is available on the planet.

Not sure if we can learn new Tech in parallel or if it is a series action. The order of the training above seems like a logical way to go.

Yes it would be smart to fix the ship first since everyone starts off living in it. Living in a fixed ship should provide more comfort and happiness. If you have the manpower, I think you in fact will be able research new techs in parallel. As long as you have enough people to form a research team dedicated to all your projects.

Looking forward to you reaching your new target 😅

I will definitely be going with Analyze this Planet first to unlock the explore planet quest. Gaining an extra region sure sounds tantalizing. I'll probably also focus on A Settler's Life in the very beginning; that one seems to cover a lot of bases. Maybe then New Habitats.

Despite gaining the extra region after you completely explore your planet, exploring your new home just seems like the logical thing to do. It's in our nature to push the limits, to venture into new frontiers.

Nice! Thanks alot! 😄

Seems like "Analyze this Planet" and "New Habitats" are the pretty standard to-go routes and I'm going to stick with that.

You're welcome!

That's a solid plan.

Nice, thank you!
Analyze This Planet would be my first focus, then A Settler's Life and then Ship Quarters, after all that search for new habitats seems to be a good option

You're welcome, and thanks for your input!

My first priority will be in ensuring comfort for my new civ as well as using my engineers to repair the ship as further colonisation is my real aim. Two or three planets should be enough in the beginning to initiate trade between worlds with more than adequate resources. After that, things will get a little military alongside planetary exploration.

Hope it works out for you. Thanks for participating!

Thanks for the giveaways, as always! Liked and reblogged.

While everything is subject to change depending on the state of my deck when the time come. But for now food and shelter are going to be my top concerns. So I figure to be doing a little "explore this planet" with focus on food. And another major focus will be "ships quarters" followed by "new habitats." I didn't get very far previously and when things get going again, I will be focused on the basic.

Thanks. I think many pilots are going with a similar strategy.
