Hive is a social platform and as such there are tribes for every type of interest. It doesn't matter what subject you're searching for, you will find folks to talk about it somewhere in Hive.
Between the many tribes here the gaming community is one of the most popular, which is no surprise seeing that Blockchain and games go together as peanut butter and jelly.
We already have some of the biggest and best crypto games available in the market (
splinterlands and Rising Star for example) and there are great ones in the making (PsyberX and Chifibots).
Hive is becoming a powerhouse at Blockchain gaming and there is one community that is making a lot of noise:
ONEUP AND THE CARTEL
The oneup community is a welcoming place that doesn't discriminate, no matter where you are from or if you don't know anything about games and/or Blockchain. If you want to join, the doors are open!
The @oneup-cartel is similar to that but with the dial turned up a notch. There are many memes with Vin Diesel and Pablo Escobar about family but they don't feel cringe, the brotherhood sentiment present there is akin to the guilds of old.
The cartel token is a proof of membership that also doubles as an investment but one doesn't need to have tokens to be part of it!
Gifs and digital communication
Talking through text has some disadvantages when trying to convey your message. Luckily there are many tools to assist you, like emotes and gifs!
Recently I came across a post from stickupboys where they were showcasing some of the many gifs they made for several hive tribes and that inspired me.
Gifs are an amazing way to make your message clear, to get some laughs during conversations and to save time.
I thought that trying to bring their awesome mascot to life in an animation would be a fitting way to thank the community, so I did the oneup shroom doing a thumbs up! 👍
If you don't know, animating is hard as fuck and takes a lot of time. I have an immeasurable respect for those who work with this medium (you folks also make it look easy).
I also did a meme one to help keep my sanity while drawing, the handsome Oneup looks magnificent and I'm really proud of this one
Practice makes perfect so I hope the next ones will look better and take less time. For now I'm proud of what I achieved and I hope the community will enjoy and use it!
