Your quality of life will improve if you begin to appreciate, cherish, and be grateful for the simple things in life because you will realize just how blessed you are.
This is how powerful gratitude is when you concentrate on what you have rather than what you lack.
You are going to develop an attitude of prosperity that might increase the number of blessings in your life.
Whenever we become more appreciative of the important things in our life. We start to appreciate the amazing things that are all around us and start to see everything around us with new eyes.
Appreciation may motivate us to live more diligently with bigger goals by assisting us in discovering the purpose and significance of our life.
I have a few friends that always complain about their situations. I haven't seen them appreciating themselves, they always complain they should have passed their present stage.
This emotion of being ungrateful has affected them negatively. I used to tell them that they should be grateful for the position they are in. Because one person's position it's another's prayer point.
I discovered that ungratefulness leads to sadness, depression and anxiety. This happened to one of my close friends. He got depressed because of his ungratefulness.
He always believes that he's still far beyond where he is supposed to be.
I constantly pushed him to cultivate thankfulness before things become worse, but he didn't pay attention
I told his family about the situation, and the dad recommended a psychologist for him. That was how he got over their situation.
You tend to treat people very kindly when you're happy and content with your life.
This is another great characteristic of being thankful.
When you contribute to the happiness of others, your happiness will be increased, because you will be so joyous in your heart that you were able to help someone.
People that possess gratitude tend to be kind because they share what they have with others without grudges.
Also showing gratitude to others for what they have done for your it's another great thing that attracts blessings.
I will discuss my recent encounter with expressing gratitude:
In the middle of last year, we travelled to a village to work on a road project. We brought all the necessary tools and materials with us.
However, when we arrived at the project site, there were several unexpected circumstances.
We spent a lot of time setting out and encountered many difficulties, but we offered solutions to them. We hadn't even finished setting out when our total station instrument's batteries all died.
Because the village was far away and we had another crucial task the following day, we had to complete the work that day. We looked for a location to recharge the Total station's batteries.
We had to find a generator because there was no light in the village at that time.
The majority of them refused to assist us because they believed we would ruin their community. I tried to convince some of them that we were bringing development, but they weren't convinced.
I eventually discovered a woman who sells drinks after searching many locations. She didn't turn on the generator, but after I approached her, she agreed to turn it on for us.
I was happy and both my group and I expressed gratitude.
I got the woman's phone number and gave her a call the next day to express my gratitude.
She did a great thing for us, and I had to call her again three days later to see how she was doing and to express my gratitude.
When we were ready to begin work at the village, I called her to let her know when we would be arriving and to let her know what we would need so that we could pay for it.
Surprisingly, the woman offered us her compound for free and said she was pleased with my expression of gratitude for the simple gesture she made the other day.
I was given the money in the office, and they didn't seem to care that you might have had it for free or that you had to pay for the yard. Having a standard yard is the most crucial aspect.
Simple gratitude allowed me to make some money. And throughout the project, I continued to express my gratitude and kindness to the woman.
In conclusion, We should all cultivate the habit of gratitude, as doing so will multiply our blessings and improve our mental health.
