Crying: Does Your Soul Cry?

in #hive-1028793 years ago

Hello good evening, Hive! I just landed here.

I was looking up some communities I am interested in, and I thought I should write something about the main topics in this community. First of all, I am an empath - a person who is highly emotional and experiences the emotions of other people.

Since we are talking about emotions and feelings, let me take this moment to express mine.

How connected are you to your emotions?

soul 2.jpg

I have always been a very emotional person - whether it is being depressed, angry or sad for others. I tend to absorb and take on the emotions of others.

I can read a story about a heartbreaking situation someone is going through, and feel their pain, their suffering and find my eyes watering. I will watch a movie where there is a moment of desperation and sadness due to a pending death, a relationship loss and feel it and my eyes will water. I can watch the news and see a crying mother being filmed, she is crying because her child died and as a mother, I can feel it and I will start crying. I can see a news story covering the loss of lives and homes and see the destruction from a typhoon, hurricane, earthquake, war, or whatever it may be and my eyes water.

Is it a sign of weakness? Am I less of a person?

I do not think so. I think I am more of a human. I have a heart that goes beyond just my own preservation and needs. I am not saying that if you are not like that, you are less of a human. All that I have been through in my life - rejection, depression, abuse physically, emotionally, and mentally, isolation from family, loss of people in my life due to sickness and death etc., I managed to make it through all that without building walls or a hard exterior.

And again, how connected are you to your emotions?

It is an inclination of being overpowered. It is harmed or joy past one's degree of control. Various conditions can direct various practices which lead to crying. It may not really be a consequence of the absence of internal strength or shortcoming. It is naturally astounded.

Crying is about mending, feelings, love, bitterness, joy, and fervor. It is delightful. It is a consolation. It is genuine. A torment. Distress. Languish. Delight. Rapture. Achievement. Connection. Worth. It is a gift. Something that you thought the most and esteemed the most. Something that involved a piece of your mind. Something that controls your heart and won your spirit.

It's about time that since we quit passing judgment on individuals in the event that they cry over and over again, or in the event that they simply don't. There can't be a straight yes or no with regards to human feelings.

soul 5.jpg

When you see someone crying, rather than passing judgment on them, walk up to them and truly sit and lend your shoulder. Listen to their story. You have no idea what battles their life are going through.

Crying doesn't make you powerless. Neither does it make you solid. It is only a sign that you are profoundly associated with something. Crying eases you of tension, scurry, disarray, disdain, blame, and torment. As far as I might be concerned, it is an extreme indication of a human's honesty, magnificence, immaculateness, and trustworthiness.

Life can be truly overpowering at times. Crying is the way we beat that twister of life. So, just cry, and afterward, get back up. Cry to communicate, cry to recuperate. Cry to someone you care about. Cry to feel light. Most importantly, cry to make it all okay.

Crying has significantly more soul connected to it than you could express. Notice the things that make you cry. They are incredible, profound pieces of you.

Does crying make you more vulnerable?

It makes you emotionally solid. It is an encounter. A few of us cry a lot, and others once in a while cry. It doesn't imply that an person is powerless. Crying settles on you a decent choice.

I hope all is well.

Now, I go sleep.

Great photos! Saw your Hive link over there on Appics (I'm The Crypto Pimp) and thought I'd come see you. I'm way more active here. As for the crying? Weakness? Not so much. I heard it cleanses the stress and brightens the soul.

Thank you so much!

Too much love in here :)

I'm not that connected with my emotions but I do cry easily sometimes lol!

Hehe don't hold back your tears

Pasimple lang a nukua hehe

Awww hehe

I recognize that sometimes I can disconnect from my emotions. I don't know if it's good or bad.
And crying doesn't seem to me to be a sign of weakness at all. It's a way of draining our emotions like any other. And I believe that sometimes we need it.
Cheers, amiga! xoxo

I agree with you 100% amiga!
Xoxoxo Happy Friday!

Hmm. This is a very interesting comment, actually.

Is disconnecting from emotions good or bad?

I have often wondered about it.

As a highly emotional person, sometimes I have to disconnect from my emotions or else I am unable to function.

I work in a very highly emotional place - the emergency room for children. I have seen terrible accidents that look like stuff from horror movies. At those times, I have to disconnect from my emotions (which would make me cry or panic) or I won't be able to do my job.

So I think the question is: why do you disconnect from your emotions? Is it a temporary or a constant thing? Does it affect your ability to relate to other human beings?
Does it affect your relationship with yourself and with others?

To me, disconnecting sometimes is a good thing! It can help you to be logical, firm, and make decisions clearly.

But so is reconnecting with your emotions especially for yourself and for the people you love.

Sending you lots of light & love!

I guess it's hard to cope with that job and a clear case that sometimes it is necessary to disconnect from our emotions to do what needs to be done.

In my case, it's not something I do all the time, but I do have the capacity to do it when I feel that what is happening around me can overcome me. As I said, I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, it just is.

Have a good Sunday!

Once again, thank you @bloghound for opening such an interesting conversation 😀

Wonderful post.

Your thoughts are very important, and you express it in a simple and transparent way. There is no doubt that our tears have a close connection with our feelings and emotions. Your words help us to be smart and continue to avoid stereotypes on this topic.🙌

Welcome to our community @bloghound 😘

Very true sis, I can relate to every thing that you say. I cry easily too. I cry even just watching a crying person.

Hugs, sis.

My soul resonated so much with this post!
I am very empathic as well...which is sometimes so difficult in my profession (I am in medicine).

I was told in medical school that my tears made me weak and that I had to build a tough exterior for my practice.

Well, I still cried last week when a patient died. I cried in medical school, but I still graduated. I cried during my board exams, but I still passed.

I completely agree with you. People should stop passing judgement when others are emotional! Crying is an expression of a human emotion. After crying, I pick myself up and face reality braver, stronger, wiser.

Thank you for this piece. I read it while I was at work and I smiled to myself, and thought "wow, somebody feels the way I do!"

Awwe! Reading your comment @drbubbles made my eyes water and really gave me goosies. It made me feel better knowing someone could relate to how I feel about my emotions. Thank you for the kind words and hugs to you! Xoxoxoxo

been holding it for quite a while now.. not because it makes me feel weak but just because I might not stop if I don't hold it....

i miss you soul sister!

Awww. I miss you more, sis!!!!

Xoxo same here sis

I have always come to believe crying is not a sign of weakness as many people always thought
Strong people cry and it just shows people can be human at times also

Hello @temileke I so agree with you, my friend. That means you are human.
Good morning :)

Hmmm, I've cried a lot and perhaps you already knew that from my writings. Believe me, it makes your heart lighter. The burden that you've been carrying over your yoke less heavy. There are things that cannot be changed but rather you cry with them. Crying is healthy because it will cleanse the eyes but don't overdo do it, else you will have a bloated eyes which is the normal result:) but better said than done, I end up with bloated eyes after crying! Yes, it's normal human as we are. Thank you for your thoughts dear.

Hi, ate @sarimanok Thank you po for stopping by! Yes, crying heals the soul. Have a great day ahead po. Hugs!

So true, @sarimanok !!! Bloated eyes are the worse, haha. Afterwards I drink lots of water to hide the eyes but it doesn't always work!
