'Twas a bright October morning when she held him in her arms for the first time. He was so fragile and tiny that she thought she would break a bone so she was extra careful as they strolled through the street to a shop someone had recommended for their new baby's needs.
She had mixed emotions that day. Anxiousness of what awaits as they bring him home. A bit of doubt as to whether they could rear him well since they had not had one before in their very own household. Yet they had more excitement thinking of the fun playtimes ahead. Her hubby was even more enthusiastic he bought a sack of his food, lol!
It may sound cliche but it was probably love at first sight. The moment they met, it felt like they had known each other forever they just clicked. Deep within, she vowed to create good memories with him and give him the best experiences.
And so from that day forward, they never went anywhere without him. They are thankful he is always allowed entry to their favorite food places. He is usually well-behaved, often sits where he is, and quietly looks around or relaxes like it was his own space unless he sees another of his kind and he goes ballistics, lol!
Some adjustments had to be made in their home as they taught him certain things - most importantly, where to pee and poop, especially since they (she and him) spent most of their days in that little corner of the house. Plastic matting over the carpet and fencing, a training tray and what have you. Some worked initially, others didn't but he eventually learned they took those extra layers away.
And he is the sweetest too! He loves cuddles and kisses. On some days, he did not stop whimpering until she carried him or put him inside her shirt or jacket, lol!
But yes, they watched him play, sleep, and grow a little more each day. And time seems to have flown by he turned one earlier this month.
But one thing is certain - the Lil Guy adds life and joy to their days and nights. Whether at home or elsewhere, there isn't a day that goes by without laughter and giggles due to his antics.
She could not even imagine how their days would go without him. She knew in her heart that they would create a lot more joyful memories, go places and take adventures together, and probably howl and growl at each other too, because that's what a family is like, or is it not?😁
This is just a wee story on how we met our Lil Guy (Yongi). I have been writing about him since we brought him home last year so expect that there will be more of him (and us) over the days, months, and hopefully years ahead you will probably get tired reading, lol! But yeah, I do love him to the moon and back. Would be recording more of his moments on-chain whether you like it or not, lol!
Thank you and have a lovely day, frens!
