Love is a verb, meaning it's an action or doing word. Love is alive, and it must be continually flamed to be preserved. What is love without sacrifices? Love is hardly convenient; we go the extra mile and condone a lot of things for people we love. We are often drawn to people who we love and who are willing to forgo conveniences. If you had a colleague at work or school that you eventually found to be related to you by blood, there is a high chance one would be drawn more to the relative beyond the former established friendship relationship.
Love has different presentations as well, such as agape, erotic, etc. We may not consciously be cognizant of the kind of love we are exhibiting, but we are exhibiting the characteristics of love, such as care, sacrifice, attention, etc. As a doing word, love can be seen to be active, and people's attitudes towards one another reflect whether there's love between both or otherwise.
Love breeds care. We care for who or what we love. Care is a result or physical expression of love. Sometimes it can come in the form of responsibility to loved ones and also to strangers, like helping a stranger along the road. Caring for another does not have to be done physically. We can care for people by checking on them or even going the extra mile for them. Listening to people talk about how their days or occasions went is a means of caring for them. Caring for an individual is a form of kindness, and this draws me to the next subtopic, emotions.
This reflects how our minds are processed toward an individual, usually after a positive or negative action. Our emotions may even be determined by events surrounding us, such as the loss of a relative or family member. Emotions influence and reflect the state of our minds, as they may be conditioned by an event or individual. Our emotions can be down or even high-spirited, usually depending on external factors, except for those who have mastered having their emotions stable. We can be emotionally drawn to love, care, and kindness. Also, we can be emotionally drawn apart from any attribute that negates the aforementioned.
This usually involves two individuals, and for me, it could be friendship or erotica. Personally, I am of the opinion that I should be in relationships with friends. I have met a couple of ladies, and within a few days or weeks of our meeting, they are already asking what I want from them. Do they think I want to have a relationship with them? Is that how easy it is to jump into one? Well, anyone who jumps the gun and enters into a relationship by overlooking the stage of getting to know each other, just like friends, is likely to jump out of the relationship as soon as he or she enters it.
Relationships are as difficult as they are sweet. Perhaps luck, but most people have had terrible experiences and would choose to just stay single. Is there the right person? This could be a topic for another day, but I believe we can make ourselves good partners if we are able to compromise and understand the other party. People have had relationships and loved sweetly. I believe we can also enjoy such bliss and not be deafened by the noise of the majority, who may not be mature enough to enter or manage relationships.
