There's an indigenous proverb peculiar to my origin that interprets: "When you appreciate good things, good things will come your way". I take this very personally and I have seen this affect me. This proverb is not limited to only things but people as well. The more you appreciate the company of people with value and integrity, the more you become better as the days go by. This is a way of making these people feel free to make you better than yesterday, knowing that the efforts will be appreciated.
It's a privilege to write about one man whose company I've enjoyed, who I look up to and admire. He is none other than Uyobong Mbaba. @Uyobong is a true example of a go-getter. I admire the fact that whatever he aims to achieve, he puts in so much work to make sure he achieves this. He is my motivation to become hardworking and more hardworking every day because he dislikes lazy people around him. So, to continue enjoying his company, I must show the fruits of hard work.
Also, he is a disciplined man. It takes a lot of work to exhibit the character of discipline. This discipline influences his communication, lifestyle and more. The discipline I learnt from him makes me avoid arguing recklessly even if I know my point is valid, but I air my opinion and leave the rest for noisemakers to deliberate upon. That's an uncommon self-discipline ethic I learnt from him. Self-discipline has made me focus on priorities and leave frivolities. After work is fun and not fun while working for maximum delivery.
He is a very jovial person and that is what helps him build his network. He understands the value of relationships and builds them strategically. Strategically in the sense that he connects with people that have value so that shortly, they can be of importance and great advantage to him. On his path, he has taught me the principle of having what to offer in a relationship and not always wanting to gain all the time. It's a principle of having value to get value - give and take and not always expecting favours all the time.
In all, he is an exceptional model and being close to him has affected my life positively. Well, I planned to talk about him today but coincidentally, today doubles as his birthday. So on this note, I wish my exceptional model the happiest birthday ever with more grace and strength to keep being the exceptional person he is. Many lines fall in the right places for you and your light will continue to shine brighter and brighter to a perfect day! Keep being exceptional Sir!!!
