As I sit here, reflecting on the journey that brought me to marriage club, where I am today, I feel blessed, loved and happy. I cannot stop saying many things about my husband, He introduce me to this platform and I am glad to interact with great minds. My husband is indeed my partner, my best friend – he is the sunshine that brightens up my day and the way he makes me feel calm every storm and yes he is my every day desire.
The man that captured my heart
How we met and the spark that ignited our love story?
It was on a typical day, much like any other. I was going about my routine business, I wasn’t expecting anything out of the ordinary to happen, in the mist of many I spotted him – tall, handsome, and with a smile that could light up a generation. It was a religious gathering so we were introduced as members of the same religious set (I member, Him pastor), I didn’t know what happened but I remember feeling a sense of nervousness as we shook hands, Little did I know that our one time encounter will totally change the course of my life forever.
That Dee day
Our first conversation was effortless. We talked about everything, it was more like a funfair, laughing and joking like we had known each other for years, I was drawn to his kind heart, I was struggling to recover from his sense of humor and his infectious enthusiasm. Few hours letter we parted ways that day, I couldn't help but return home with a sense of excitement and curiosity, trying to find out, “Who was this man”, and what was it about him that had captured my attention, All was in my heart, I didn't act like it, but the meeting was mind blowing, he was the highlight of the event for me.

As days turned into weeks, weeks into months, our encounter turned into friendship and daily blossomed, We would meet for prayers and other religious activities, hang out or take a walks when necessary, Each passing day, I could not explain what was happening to me but I found myself falling more and more in love with him, his kindness, generosity and empathy inspired me so much that I saw myself becoming a more better person, He made me visible to many, I was heard and understood in a more fantastic way, what a great and amazing experience.

One of the things that I love most about my husband is his ability to make me laugh and smile Even on my worst moments and days, he knows exactly what to say and do to put a smile on my face, his advice and encouragement are deep, He is my Desire, I call him my rock, he is my confidant, and my partner in every sense of word.
As I look back on our journey, I make bold to say that love is powerful, your connection or onetime encounter with someone can turn into a lifetime joy, happiness and love that will not end. Our meeting was not planned, it came by chance but it has led to a lifetime of happiness, growth, and adventure. I am grateful for that day, the encounter was magical, I don’t take for granted the love that has grown between us.

To my husband @emylight, I want to say thank you, Thanks for being who you are to me. Thank you for loving me, supporting me, and encouraging me to be my best self. I love you more and more with each passing day, and I look forward to spending the rest of my life making memories with you.
To round it up, our love story is one of the chance encounters, friendship and growth. It is a reminder that love can find us when we least expected it, and sometimes, all it takes is a contact exchange, handshake, eye contact to change the course of our lives forever.
