While reading some of the posts in this community about boredom one thing came to my mind and that is, we must make some alternative plan to get out of boredom.
There's no way that boredom will go over time. We all know that we must do something to get over it. The best way is to replace it with something effective. Like giving thyself the joy of fulfillment.
People say it's always not possible. Life is tough and we always can't get up and do something. We all are not achievers. Well, I think a bit differently at this point.
Let me explain.
- I don't have to be the top-level CEO nor do I need to get awards in my academic career to be an achiever. Fulfilling some daily life goals is enough for me or for anyone, I believe. For example - finishing the laundry, walking our pet, finishing an assignment, or something similar, some smaller actions can bring the joy of fulfillment.
These acts are so simple, that we can easily replace them in our time when we feel down or bored.
What I feel is that happiness is a temporary feeling. It comes and goes depending on the moment. While fulfillment lust longer and change our lives in many ways.
I don't feel like doing anything many days. It happens to all of us. But sometimes boredom lasts longer than expected. We usually get puzzled and think could the alternative to get back to life during those moments. To me bringing the joy of fulfillment is what helps me to get over boredom.
Fulfillment brings deep joy and leads us to focus on the purpose of life.
While during your bad days, you may feel like staying under your blanket but doing some small things can make you reverse your feeling. We don't have to force ourselves to be the best in the next moment, give our 100% to our work. Let it be if you don't feel like it. Just do your daily things, take care of some small things and you will feel like you are getting some meaning in life. This is so much more effective than we think.
As I have said, it works for me very effectively and I believe it will work for anyone. Boredom, demotivation, and not feeling inspired are something that kills us inside. It's very tough to get over this feeling. Especially if you are an introvert like me where you can't even seek help or feel like going outside often to feel refreshed. So this fulfillment technique is what keeps me moving.
