On last Synday, i had a chance to see a motor cycle race training. Well, for myself, I ride motor cycle, but I never think of trying to race. But watching motor cycle race is a different story. It's exciting!
I went to the town park since I head a loud noise of motorcycle speeding. I thought there was a real race, but it was only a race training.
The racers did not ride big motor bikes but rode "little" motor cycle like what people through out South East Asia ride everyday. Those "little" beast have been tuned up to max their speed.
Two racers making a U turn.
Another racer followed.
One racer fell down.
There were four or five racers practiced speeding their motor cycle on the street. They could speed freely because this part of the street was closed for public, just because of this training.
You probably wonder why the government allow them to close the road for public. Well, it is not the main street of the town, and there was not much traffic use this street. Another reason, I think is because the government want to give opportunity to those racers to train, because there is no such place for training but on the main road.
The street was closed for public for this training race.
Allowing them to use street as a place for training is effective to stop illegal racing. In the past, there were some illegal racing that took place in different parts of the island. It's mostly like "The Fast and Furious" but these were 'motor cycle version.'
I did not see a lot of crowd watching this training, only about ten people or so. I could see most of them were young people. It is quite obvious, this kind of race only appealed to young people.
It's 110 cc Yamaha motor cycle.
Racing as fast as they could.
An epic fall photo series, please see next photos.
Not a lot of people watched the race training.
It was fun to watch, especially, when they show their motorcycle acrobatic skill. Do you have motor cycle racing in your place?
