I thought that it would be fun the burn some #PEPE.
PEPE is Hive's most notable #meme coin. For that matter, it is one of the few HIVE coins that has its own Wikipedia page.
This page says that Pepe made its public debut in a cartoon by Matt Furie in a comic called Boy's Club.
The frog leapt off the comics page and became an Internet meme on social media sites like MySpace.
In 2015, some PEPE memes were were sold as Rare Pepe. The first Rare Pepe were minted on the Bitcoin network in 2016 making PEPE one of the first crypto-backed NFTs.
As for the Hive PEPE
I do not know the relation between Matt Furie, the Bitcoin PEPE and the HIVE-Pepe.
The @pepetoken account was created in May 2023 and has been extremely active on HIVE.
The token's page shows that PEPE has a float of 656,626,386 coins priced at $0.00001 giving a market cap of $6,566. The HIVE price was 0.00004500 when I wrote this paragraph.
The scot bot page says the token triggers on the keywords "pepetoken, pepe, meme, feelsgoodman, love."
The Hive-O-Sphere also happens to home to the Rare PEPE token RPEPE. There are 1700 of these with a marcap of $1,605. There are 22,115,077 PEPECASH with a marcap of $1,326.
There happens to be $1,136 stuffed into a SWAP.HBD:PEPE deisel pool.
The PEPE richlist shows 33 PEPE millionaires and a over a hundred accounts with more than 100K PEPE.
I bought 100,000 PEPE. My holdings have been increasing at a brisk pace. I've earned 43K staked PEPE rewards. I've sold off 43K rewards. PEPE is one of the few coins where I've made a profit.
Lets Burn Some PEPE
I confess, I've been wanting to burn some PEPE since the first time that I saw the smirk on Pepe's red lips.
To create a post I need an image.
I thought about violating copyright laws by scraping a PEPE image from the Internet. I would then use an AI program to place the image in a burning cesspool.
As I was contemplating this post, I discovered a wonderful toy frog doll in a toy bin.
This toy doll was probably the favorite toy of a little girl who lost it on a trip to visit granny.
So, I decided to burn the toy doll as part of my PEPE burn.
As you can see from the pictures. I placed the toy doll on my Rocket Stove. I handed the toy doll a lighter. I doused the doll in gasoline.
After I publish this post I will burn the toy. Here are the pictures I took. The top picture shows the toy sitting on a grill in agony. The next shows the toy, a lighter and the gasoline can.
The second image shows top down view of the set up.
The nexr horifying image shows the toy on a grill before the burn.
Finally, I present a picture of some ashes as Proof of Burn #POB. You sould always demand a Proof of Burn when some wanker on the Internets claims that they burned something.
Oh, the reason that the timestamp on my alleged proof of burn is earlier than the timestamp on the images of the things I claimed to burn was because I reset the clock in my camera after taking the picture.
NOTE: After the burn I went onto ebay and bought a toy doll that looked exactly like the one I burned because I would feel sad if the little girl (who is now in her twenties) visited granny and couldn't find her toy. Yeah, that's why I still have something that looks exactly like the thing I claimed to burn.
PS: The PEPE burn should be 13,188 PEPE worth $0.265. The size of the burn is limited by the amount of upvotes I receive for this post.
If you would like me to burn a particular coin ... let me know in the comments.
