Welcome to the yorkshire jungle, what lies behind the under growth we shall soon find out.

A burnt out shell of a former family home that has a tale to tell.

_DSC1116.jpeg

Built only as recently as the 1980's the bungalow sits in quite a large plot in Pontefract, the last residents were John and his girlfriend Margaret

_DSC1115.jpeg

_DSC1110.jpeg

In 2022, John popped his clogs and due to the weird and wonderful inheritance laws in the UK ownership of the bungalow passed not to his lady friend, as one would have expected, but to his brother.

_DSC1129.jpeg

The brother, such a caring loving individual what did he do? he evicted his brothers girlfriend!!

And once probate was sorted, he applied to the Govt. authorities for planning permission to demolish the love nest and build a significant number of new houses on the land.

"Money, it's a crime
Share it fairly, but don't take a slice of my pie
Money, so they say
Is the root of all evil today"

_DSC1113.jpeg

The authorities refused to give planning permission...............

_DSC1130.jpeg

...................Six months later the bungalow caught fire and burnt down to the shell it is today...........

..................I shall allow you to form your own opinions. I have formed mine!!!

A second planning application has been submitted

"I'm alright, Jack, keep your hands off of my stack
Money, it's a hit
Ah, don't give me that do-goody-good bullshit"

Roger Waters got that right with words he wrote.

Burning down buildings is a biggie over here, when companies see their bottom line burn it down then try claim from insurance!

Nice photos captured going through!

!BEER

cheers @joanstewart , yes arson happens when you need a result, and can't get it any other way

Takes forever to get the insurance, special police investigate to prove whether arson or simply an accident.

yes and I have no knowledge as to the outcome on this occasion

Takes years sometimes before they release findings.

yes indeed, unless it is quite obvious

That too... 🔥

remember........????

The crazy world of Arthur Brown?????

Wow that one is deep in the woods.

Burnt down after the denial - What a funny coincidence that is...

My thoughts entirely

A lesson here for all: have your affairs in order at all times. Otherwise your loved ones might (quite literally) wind up out in the cold. 😢

Wow tragedies…
A shame. Some laws just don't make sense.

Greed money and silly laws

That is what rules the world… sadly 🫣

yup

At least no one person is in harm 😊

thats's true @fixyetbroken

It was better before the burning, I didn’t know you had been over Yorkshire way.

yeah popped over last week two hits and a few fails, managed to get into the house of sadness. NO fucking torch, was pretty damn good though

Now that's interesting, there was a large metal plate in place before.., has anything changed?

conveniently bent back, lovely capsule full of grot!
