From naija to the world, hello everyone. New week, new blessings, renewed God's grace, Amen.

Still in the freaky Friday mood, I'm participating in my very first contest here on Hive and this contest, scheduled by @samostically with the topic of "Time Management".

I am a young lady in my early twenties, born and bred in the busiest cites in Nigeria; Lagos state and in all of my dealings, I've come to totally adjust to the issue of poor timing which only makes you arrive later - if you know, you know...

It's always hasty down here where I reside and if your not setting an extra 2hrs duration in the hope of arriving at your desired location on time, then you have to rethink.

So far, I've managed my time with such mentality all my teenage life till this very moment of my existence.

Definition

Now what's Time Management? In my own clear understanding, this is the proper schedule of a give duration to get a set of things done.

Coupled with a good time management policy, it's always advisable to have a table of things you want to achieve according to their level of importance.

For instance;
I have a list of things to do: washing, studying, creating blog posts, general house chores and I need to get all done before 12pm.

I could start with waking up by 6am then I'll pray, stretch/workout all for an hour. Afterwards, I go ahead with my general house chores and washing since I can't stay in an unclean environ. Then I create my blog posts after eating and freshening up. I'll do some studying then get some sleep to relax. All of these, I've arranged in a higher-to-lower manner of hierarchy.

How I manage my time on a daily basis?

A typical example of my day is mostly in this order; I wake and pray, then I do some house chores and workout then I freshen up and head out to my mom's place of business from 7am to 10am (max.).

There, I can do the other things I need to do online like blogging on Hive, replying my socials and the likes from 10:30am till 7:30pm then to retire for the day, I begin to do that by 8:00pm till 9:00pm. I try most times to get at least 7 - 9hrs of sleep so I go to bed by 11pm.

Even on the days I sleep late lol, I still get up by 7am which is exactly the time I've set for my alarm to go off.

My advice

Firstly, I'm being as sincere as possible when I say time management is like "an attitude you take to the gym and build till it beats any form of resistance". So my best advice is to sincerely work on yourself - on your persistence.

Helpful Tips

If it's hard following up with getting things done on time, I recommend to have it written down and pasted somewhere so it can be seen always like by the bedside or on your room's door or on the lamp stand...if it works, it works 🤷😁

I also recommend to make a fresh list whenever a new activity pops up

Closing remarks

And on my closing remark, "DO NOT GO HARD ON YOURSELF". Take time to actually get one activity done because it's the only thing that would count at the end of the day. Peace y'all, this is my participation ✌❤
