This is the topic on everyone's mind. Elections are crucial for the state of a nation and the direction in which the country will follow. The last 8 years have been difficult for many Nigerians and I dare say it has been getting worse over the years.
Every election comes with new promises and hope. It's almost like a drug. the euphoria of wanting your desired candidate to become the president. Different factions will arise but 3 to 3 persons always come up as the favourite.
Nigeria being a complicated country with a young history has many flaws and issues. These days choosing a candidate not desired by some people will almost automatically paint you as the enemy.
They say you can't be on the fence and that you must choose a side. Personally, I believe voting is right and people can decide to vote, be voted for or not vote at all. Being on the fence perhaps means the individual doesn't have hopes for anyone but a belief that whoever emerges whether it's the people's favourite or not comes good for the country.
Nigerians have a lot on their plate and it seems the struggle keeps pouring in over and over. Recently there is cash scarcity. It is crazy just thinking about it. People are having transfer challenges as well so going cashless is also a struggle.
The people's hero in the coming election and when I say hero I dare say most of the youth population as it has been evidenced in what is trending is Mr Peter Obi.
While some people align with him others prefer their candidate based on who is in their tribe, some are opposing Peter Obi's presidency because he is from the eastern part of the country because of fear such as Biafra, IPOB and other things may have no knowledge.
Another candidate with several nicknames including Agbado has a controversial history of being into drugs and organized crime. And then there is Atiku who has been chasing the presidential seat for more than 2 decades.
Everyone is looking forward to the election. Past events such as the October 20, 2020 incident have stirred up the youth to get their PVC to vote.
The last 8 years have been a hell of a ride for many Nigerians. The hardship touched almost everyone. The problems in the country keep increasing from one difficulty level to another.
