SPEEKPEECE NIGERIA!

in #hive-1057272 years ago

With the way Nigeria is going, I believe it is time that we all wake up and do what is right. For a long time, we have all been carried away by our selfish desires and the urgency to feed our ego that we may have forgotten the essence of our entire existence.

...love thy neighbor as thyself, this is the greatest commandment...

We are on earth not for ourselves. Quite alright we have ambitions and aspirations but they are all put within us to work for a better life not just for ourselves, but also for those around us.

Think about it. If the world would just stop and the people would be kind to one another, there would be great improvement. The reason for our country's current situation is the lack of love. Selfishness has risen to it's highest and the ranks of love has sunk to the gutter.

While we may not be able to effect change immediately, we can start gradually beginning with ourselves. Let us be honest and true to ourselves:

  • When last did we do a random act of kindness?
  • When last did we put ourselves in the shoes of others?
  • When last did move back to let the other person through or even hold the door?
  • When last did we respond in love rather than anger?

Do not look at this questions at face level. Have you never enjoyed the joy that comes with helping others? I feel most happy when I have been of help to someone. This is because my humanity shows itself and I live my calling; I become who I was meant to be.

The greatest cure for a sore heart (especially in Nigeria) is love and kindness. Yes, many will not respond in kind but you do not have to lash back. Always #speeklove, always #speekpeece. Be a vessel, a healing balm.

I, Dreemer Deraa, makes the conscious decision today to be a vessel of love. To speak good to and of my nation, Nigeria. To love and to hold. To support and be bold. I will respond in love and never try to talk down, criticize or castigate anyone. So help me God!

Pray for Nigeria

Amen.

This is profound.

You are right. The change starts with you and me. Everyone keeps waiting for who is gonna do it. Why not you and I?

I will keep what I want to see from the world. It's energy. What you give is what you get. Sometimes I wonder if we aren't envious of other countries and races.

Hahaha. Truth is there is nothing to be envious of because they face their own bad days. The difference is they are not in a hurry to leave.

Yes they have bad days too but you see our days, it's a nightmare. Envious in the sense that, no matter the differences, they try to put them aside and grow their economy. Even the ones at war are fighting for power and dominance. We fight over the silliest of things.

😂😂OKAY

So Help Us God
Amen.

You are so full of love and kindness and so darn lovable💙
Nigeria it is ridiculous, all those resources and the country is no further forward than when I used to work there. It beggars belief the amount of money that has been wasted stolen by corrupt politicians and government/business officials!

It is sad indeed that we are not moving forward but that is about to change. It will change. Happy Sunday partner

Let's hope the change is coming partner, and more importantly that the change is actually good for the country. We are you next doing your BIP stuff... and good luck tomorrow with the 🏧🏧🏧

It is today!

ahah now I knew

You've hit the nail on the head there - if only we could do that, but too many people are out for themselves, and are happy to take from and harm others to get what they want - its awful.

We must put out our selfish desire and make love reign and there is love other things will give in

Love is the missing factor in the world and Nigeria is missing out a lot judging by the fact that we are obsessed with every man for himself way of life.

There is big happiness in helping and only those who do it genuinely can tell, I have been blessed many times and that has taught me that love is something we need to keep passing on from us to others.

Lack of love is why politicians will embezzle the people's money, the same reason is why some boss at work will cut their staff salaries. Lack of love is why you will laugh at our neighbors when they are hungry, love is all we need to set things right in not just Nigeria but the world in general.

If the foundation of Nigeria was laid on love, we won't be in the mess we are in today.

Love is however not lost. You ad I can make a difference. It starts with us!

That's right, we can send a message about the importance of love if we pick up the habit of spreading love to others.
