I know this is a bit controversial as everyone seems so glad and happy to embrace the new month. I think it's the reverse for me. Wait...don't be quick to judge me. I am thankful to God and love the fact that we are in the new month already, I mean who would want to remain in yesterday?
My point is this...I got worried because it seems to me that time has been compressed such that in one blink you're already planning to cross over into a new year. One of my biggest fear is not being able to accomplish all that I've set my mind to do this year. My plans might be so big and as a wise planner,I've broken it into bits but you know life happen sometimes that a day or week might just go without you following your plans to the latter and this scares me because of the way time flies these days.
I mean, when did we scream happy new year? Some are even of the opinion that January is always very long, this particular one didn't even linger like I expected it to and now we're are in a new month. To me I think we should do more of review and tracking of goals and aspiration itemized for the year and see how much progress we've made each time we welcome a new month.
I think this will help deal with procrastination and complacency in a way. You know that feeling of...I will do it,there is still time, shebi we are just in February and that is how we we keep talking and never end up doing and then it suddenly dawns on us that the year is over.
I know my article is a bit controversial but it a truth we don't get to tell ourselves all the time. Many of us wrote down resolutions we will love to travel the year with and like luggage some of us have dropped them along the way in just two months into the year forgetting that in that luggage are the very equipment you need for this year's journey.
If time has chosen to run, then I will fly and even soar at a point because there is alot to achieve. I want to look back by the end of the year and smile at how much I've been able to achieve.
Thanks for dropping by
