Hello everyone, this is Hive Open Mic Week 254. In line with the theme of the week I will be doing a cover of the song 'Gracefully Broken' by Tasha Cobbs who happens to be an American Gospel Musician and a song writer born in Georgia.
Gracefully Broken is a song that inspires me a lot lately as I pay attention to the song closely. I was able to understand that it's more than just a song. It's a heart cry from a broken spirit willing to embrace God's love and grace. Due to the nature of the song I love to play it through out my personal bible study period because I like background sounds while studying my bible.
I also like the pattern of music used for the song. Couple with the soft sound of her voice and the backups balance the harmony so well. I can listen to the sound over and over again because of how sweet the melody is. It's one of the best American gospel songs I've come across.
I really enjoyed the the original song and I hope you did enjoy the cover I did.
Thanks for coming around.
Bellow is the lyrics of the song:
Take all I have in these hands
And multiply, God, all that I am
And find my heart on the altar again
Set me on fire, set me on fire (c'mon sing)
Take all I have in these hands
And multiply, God (God), all that I am
And find my heart on the altar again
Set me on fire(ask him say), set me on fire
chorus
Here I am, God arms wide open
Pouring out my life
Gracefully broken
Song Lyrics
