It's week #137 of the Hive Open Mic almost at its culmination...The theme; "MAGIC". Throughout the week I saw how magic was defined in different ways in each publication, between love stories and beautiful life experiences and so on, which make you feel something truly magical.
For my chance I define magic as a change... what more magical than a change? I think not necessarily, but we should always be willing to change, especially when we are wrong in a situation or way of thinking. I have seen how many people have done it at some time and it really is something magical, either for some reason or motive or for some coercion, but without a doubt it is a magical action that I myself would like to take as an example.
To associate my participation with the theme of the week, I bring a cover of a contemporary rock classic belonging to the renowned new metal band Deftones; "Change". Its lyrics and sound have a slightly dark and melancholic context, several meanings can be attributed to it metaphorically... But using that same metaphor I prefer to stay with the one that brings true positive change, turning adversities into a flight, the darkness into light and the storm into a calm.
I wanted to make a good acoustic version of this piece but I think I ended up doing more of a parody, I added some synths made by myself with the keyboard, and I made some small modifications in some phrases...the pronunciation was certainly not the best but I did the best I could. It literally took me the whole day to produce this video, but it was quite satisfying, I've enjoyed doing this work... which, on the other hand, also applies magic, being able to join several sequences of tracks through unsophisticated equipment and with few resources of my own from a recording studio. It's something I've learned through and for Hive and that's why I like being here so much. I hope they can trip it.

Es la semana #137 del Hive Open Mic casi en su culminación...El tema; "MAGIC". A lo largo de la semana vi como se definía la magia de diferentes formas en cada publicación, entre historias de amor y hermosas experiencias de vida y demás, que hacen sentir algo realmente mágico.
Para mi oportunidad defino la magia como un cambio...que más mágico que un cambio? Pienso que no obligatoriamente, pero siempre deberiamos estar dispuestos a cambiar, sobretodo cuando estamos errados ante una situación o forma de pensar. He visto como mucha gente lo ha hecho alguna vez y realmente es algo algo mágico, ya sea por alguna razón o motivo o por alguna coacción, pero sin duda es una acción mágica que yo mismo quisiera tomar como ejemplo.
Para asociar mi participación al tema de la semana, traigo un cover de un clásico del rock contemporáneo perteneciente a la reconocida banda de new metal Deftones; "Change". Esta canción está envuelta en varios halos de magia, desde su composición en un ensayo surgió un riff y cada quién fué agregando su parte instrumental y todo fluyó de forma mágica, descrito así por la propia banda. Su letra y sonido tienen un contexto un poco oscuro y melancólico, se le pueden atribuir varios significados de forma metafórica...Pero usando esa misma metáfora yo prefiero quedarme con el que trae un verdadero cambio positivo, convertir las adversidades en un vuelo, la oscuridad en luz y la tormenta en una calma.
Quise hacer una buena version acústica de esta pieza pero creo que termine haciendo una parodia mas bién, agregue unos synths hechos por mi mismo con el teclado, e hice unas pequeñas modificaciónes en algunas frases...la pronunciación desde luego no fué la mejor pero lo hice lo mejor que pude. Me tomó literalmente el día entero producir este video, pero fue bastante satisfactorio, he disfrutado realizar este trabajo..que, por otro lado también aplica la magia, poder unir varias secuencias de pistas a través de un equipo nada sofisticado y con pocos recursos propios de un estudio de grabación. Es algo que he aprendido por y para Hive y por eso me gusta tanto estar aquí. Espero se la puedan tripear.
