Hello friends of Hive and my Hive Open Mic family; I'm Fernando Benedetti from @fernanblog, once again (although a little late) I come to present my participation for this week whose theme is "My Melody" chosen by a great friend, brother and musician, the talented @ebingo... Congratulations Bro!!!
For this week I wanted to do something different than usual, I was presented with many occupations and that led to delay me, but here I am, I was able to achieve something that generated me much satisfaction...
"Mi Melodía" submerged me again in the composition, it occurred to me to do another original song, in this case instrumental and I was able to fulfill what I had imagined. This song is composed by two instruments, by the guitar and by the keyboard (not a keyboard as you imagine it), the keyboard of my laptop hehe.
This laptop I dusted it off, it had a long time in storage and I didn't remember that there I had some recorded tracks of some songs that I have presented here; for this occasion I made the keyboard track in the GarageBand program of Mac, where there are some amazing sounds to make very nice melodies, in fact, I think that the one I chose is great, I would like to know your opinion in the comments.
First I made a video recording of the guitar, 4 chords played 10 times continuously; the guitar had a little reverb and a little delay, it was played without distortion, that is to say, its sound was natural, it was clean. After finishing with the guitar, I recorded the keyboard track keeping the essence of the chords and playing a little bit with the octaves of those chords. I really don't know, or rather, I don't know the standard tuning of a keyboard or a piano (I assume that the notes sound the same as in the standard tuning of the guitar), so I don't know for sure how many octaves of the standard tuning I played and what would be the key, maybe our dear @mipiano could give me technical details about it and get me out of this little doubt if possible!!!
Finally I exported the track in mp3 format and added it in the background to the video where I played the guitar, then I edited the video, adjusted the sound and ready!!!
The final result was a beautiful melody, subtle, serene and very relaxing, it sounds like a mantra, personally it calmed me a lot while listening to it. It is a special song like all the ones I do, but this time it appeared as a way to dissociate myself from the stress of the week that has been a little strong...
I titled it "En la Puerta del Cielo" (At Heaven's Door), because that's how I felt during the couple of hours it took me to record it, for a moment it was complicated, because I had never recorded an accompaniment to something I had done previously, besides using software related to sound has never been my forte, so the sound you always hear is as natural as possible, in the sense that I do not use audio editing, nor process what I record in a music program; the truth is that, recording this piece, I learned some important things.
And well friends, now having clear how was the process of the final product, here I bring you my participation for the week 96 of the Hive Open Mic, a big hug for you and I hope you enjoy this little tune that I made with much affection ¡so with that said... Let’s rock!

Hola amigos de Hive y de mi familia Hive Open Mic; soy Fernando Benedetti de @fernanblog, una vez más (aunque un poco tarde) vengo a presentar mi participación para esta semana cuya temática es “Mi Melodía” elegida por un gran amigo, hermano y músico, el talentoso @ebingo… Felicidades Bro!!!
Para esta semana quería hacer algo distinto a lo habitual, se me presentaron muchas ocupaciones y eso llevó a retrasarme, pero aquí estoy, pude lograr algo que me generó mucha satisfacción…
“Mi Melodía” me sumergió nuevamente en la composición, se me ocurrió hacer otra canción original, en este caso instrumental y pude cumplir con lo que había imaginado. Esta canción está compuesta por dos instrumentos, por la guitarra y por el teclado (no un teclado como lo imaginan), el teclado de mi portátil jeje.
Este portátil lo desempolvé, tenía mucho tiempo guardado y no recordaba que ahí tenía algunas pistas grabadas de algunas canciones que he presentado aquí; para esta ocasión hice la pista del teclado en el programa GarageBand de Mac, donde hay unos sonidos alucinantes para hacer melodías muy bonitas, de hecho, creo que la que elegí está genial, quisiera saber tu opinión en los comentarios.
Primero hice la grabación de la guitarra en video, 4 acordes tocados 10 veces de forma continua; la guitarra tenía un poco de reverb y un poco de delay, fue tocada sin distorsión, es decir, su sonido era natural, era limpio. Luego de haber culminado con la guitarra, grabé la pista del teclado manteniendo la esencia de los acordes y jugando un poco con las octavas de dichos acordes. Realmente no sé, o mejor dicho, desconozco la afinación estándar de un teclado o de un piano (asumo que las notas suenan igual que en la afinación estándar de la guitarra), así que no sé a ciencia cierta a cuantas octavas de la afinación estándar toqué y cuál sería la tonalidad, quizá nuestra querida @mipiano me podría dar detalles técnicos al respecto y sacarme de esta pequeña duda si es posible!!!
Finalmente exporté la pista en formato mp3 y la agregué de fondo al video donde tocaba la guitarra, luego edité video, ¡¡¡acomodé el sonido y listo!!!
El resultado final fue una melodía bonita, sutil, serena y muy relajante, parece un mantra, en lo personal me calmó mucho mientras la escuchaba. Es una canción especial como todas las que hago, pero esta vez apareció como una forma de disociarme del estrés de la semana que ha sido un poco fuerte…
La titulé “En la Puerta del Cielo”, porque así me sentí durante el par de horas que me tomó grabarla, por un momento se me hizo complicada, porque nunca había grabado un acompañamiento a algo que había hecho previamente, aparte de que usar softwares relacionados al sonido nunca ha sido mi fuerte, por eso el sonido que siempre escuchan es lo más natural posible, en el sentido de que no uso ediciones de audio, ni proceso lo que grabo en algún programa musical; lo cierto es que, grabando esta pieza, aprendí algunas cosas importantes.
Y bien amigos ya teniendo claro como fue el proceso del producto final, aquí les traigo mi participación para la semana 96 del Hive Open Mic, un abrazo grande para ustedes y espero que disfruten esta pequeña melodía que hice con mucho cariño; así que dicho esto… ¡A Rockear!
