This is hive open mic week #217. I am mamab and I'm so excited for the awesome opportunity to share with you my entry for this edition.

I want to specially acknowledge @ashiru who is the community's recent spotlight artist for the choice of a wonderful theme to guide us.

I will be presenting a beautiful Hausa song. I sang in Hausa Language few times here. It is a major spoken language in Northern Nigeria. The title of the song is "Karbi Godiya" by Chuks Jock. I knew this song since my secondary school days. I don't know much about the music minister, I was just fond of his songs and I like his fluency in Hausa Language. He hails from Plateau State

The song talks about singing the praise of God who is worthy of adoration. Only Jesus deserves our daily praise and worship. I put down the lyrics myself to simplify the singing along 😊.

Lyrics
Yesu Yesu zan raira yabon ka
(Jesus Jesus I will sing of your praise)
Yesu Yesu zan yi maka sujada
(Jesus Jesus I will worship you)
Yesu Yesu zan raira yabon ka
Yesu Yesu zan yi maka sujada

Kai kadai ka isa
(Only you are worthy)
Ka isa muyi maka yabo
(You are worthy of praise)
Kai kadai ka isa
Ka isa muyi maka yabo
Kullum kullum zan raira yabon ka
(Always always I will sing of your praise)
Kullum kullum zan yi maka sujada
(Always always I will worship you)
Kullum kullum zan raira yabon ka
Kullum kullum zan yi maka sujada

Karbi godiya
