Hi everyone, this is hive open mic week #219. I welcome all my friends and well wishers to my blog. How are you doing and keeping up with life? I believe God is always faithful. It's another beautiful moment and edition for musical presentations.
I will be doing a song in connection to the theme for the week which is "traditional music". Special recognition goes to the community's recent spotlight artist for the great choice @ernesto6402.
Talking about traditional music, I believe it centers around cultural music. It can also be referred to as local music or indigenous music.
I am not Igbo by tribe but I decided to do the cover of this old Igbo song we used to sing right from childhood. Well, I don't really know the original composer of the song but it became a popular one back then during praise and worship sessions. The title of the song is "Mma mma dirigi". Igbo is one of the major languages spoken in Eastern part of Nigeria.
The meaning of the song is praises unto you. It is actually a song of honour and acknowledgement of the good personality of Jesus. He is the master of the universe and the Lion that guards the land. When I consider the wonders of His being, human words are limited to express fully who He is and what He is doing.
