This is hive open mic community week #149. It's apleasure to be alive, well and able to join in the participation for this edition. I am mamab your friend and I am excited to share with you on the theme "travel". A big shout out to the admins for the constant effort of organising this concert.
To travel means to go somewhere, it is not limited to carrying your luggage and taking a cab or taxi. You can travel in your mind, emotions, dream and imagination.
I chose a powerful hymn from the sacred songs and solos (SS&S). I will be presenting the cover in a modern way. The title is 'coming home'. It is the song of repentance after acknowledging that we often wander away from where God kept us. Being a Christian is not equal to being a saint, there are many times we miss steps in following Jesus Christ. Sometimes we overdo what he has asked us to do, other times we cut corners to reach the finish line and sometimes we don't even do what He has asked us to do. But His mercies have always covered our flaws.
Join me in repentance from where we have traveled away from His instructions. It is time to come back home. Let us pray 🙏: Dear Lord and father, we acknowledge that we are responsible for not meeting up with your standards sometimes, we are truly sorry. We we are coming back home. Help us to stay true to you at all times and remain yours alone, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed, Amen.
