Some years ago, during my philosophical studies, one of my professors in his usual humorous vibes said 'anyone who is not grateful is a great fool'. When that statement was made by him, everyone murmured and laughed so laudly. However, as philosophy students, we did not allow the statement to slide with just murmurs and laughter. The statement was subjected to critical analysis and even though it was meant to arouse humor, we were able to extract reasonable meaning from it. When the lecturer asked for my opinion, I stood up and elongated his statement by saying that 'an ungrateful person is either a greatful fool or mentally demented'. My class mates laughed even louder and the lecturer eventually gave me an extra three marks for my response which he termed beautiful. At the pronouncement of the three marks, I created rounds of laughter in the class my shouting THANK YOU SIR so loudly. At the end of the rounds of laughter evoked by me, the lecturer provoked another rounds by saying, 'Franklin, I'm glad that you're neither a grateful nor mentally demented. 😂
The story I just related to you is targeted towards making a point on the theme of @hiveopenmic week 176 which is GRATITUDE. This theme of gratitude which is chosen by @earnest06402 means a lot to me and I'm so grateful to God that I'm able to relate with it by presenting a medley of two songs of thanksgiving. I chose to do songs of thanksgiving because 'Thank you' is a basic way of showing gratitude. As you listen to me play my violin and also sing for you, I hope you find some Joy spending your precious moment with me. The title of the first song is 'Thank you Jesus while the second one is titled All I have to say is thank you. They are both popular Christian songs here in Nigeria.
