I'm your girl @sessy, and I'm extremely overjoyed to be here once again as usual.
Our theme for this week is HIVE, and in reference to that, I'll be singing a song from the movie Empire and the song titled POWERFUL by Empire Cast feat. Jussie Smollett and Alicia Keys.
I actually chose this song because Hive is like an Empire, a home filled with love and support, a community that accommodates all and doesn't discriminate.
The movie Empire is a powerful family drama about the head of a music empire whose three sons and ex-wife all battle for his throne.
And the song is about standing up for what is right and taking a stand against injustice. It talks about the importance of not being silent and not hiding when there is a change needed. They mentioned the need for everyone to come together and make a difference.
Overall, the song conveys a message of empowerment and unity, it talks about how skin doesn't define any human.
And just as we do here in Hive, we come together to make a difference, there's love, peace and harmony in the Hive community, we do not discriminate here, each and every human can make use of their voice and be heard here, irrespective of where they come from or their skin color. Everyone is welcomed with love and in unity we all stand.
The movie Empire is a great movie and you should see it if you're yet to. They sang so many beautiful songs in it, since it's more like a musical movie, but amongst all, POWERFUL is my favorite song. It was Performed by Jussie Smollett and Alicia Keys, also known as Jamal Lyon and Sky Summers in the Empire Series.
