Hello Hive open mic family, it's week #231 of our weekly concert and this week is a really special one as this week we would be exploring the theme "Afritunes" (simply put sounds that originated and evolves around our beautiful continent "Africa" 😊)...Well I'm African and proud 🇳🇬. I'd be performing a song by legendary Nigerian singer-songwriter "2face Idibia" called "African Queen". This is a special shout-out to all the beautiful ladies out here, whatever continent you're from, you're beautiful, unique and special. I have chosen this classic because it's one of my favourite songs of all time, I grew up listening to this song, and loved every bit of it. It's still one of my go-to karaoke songs 😉. The song basically eulogises African women, their skin colour, physique, Poise and beauty. It talks about how African women light up the room with their presence, everyone acknowledges their presence because they shine so bright than the moon and stars. Black is so beautiful, it's so unique and distinctive from other skin colours from around the world. This song is also a call to African women not to tamper with their skin colour because they are loved, cherished and need to preserve their true black heritage. Este es un saludo especial para todas las hermosas mujeres de aquí, sea cual sea el continente de donde sean, son hermosas, únicas y especiales. Elegí este clásico porque es una de mis canciones favoritas de todos los tiempos, crecí escuchando esta canción y me encantó cada parte de ella. Sigue siendo una de mis canciones de karaoke favoritas 😉. La canción básicamente elogia a las mujeres africanas, su color de piel, físico, aplomo y belleza. Habla de cómo las mujeres africanas iluminan la habitación con su presencia, todos reconocen su presencia porque brillan más que la luna y las estrellas. El negro es tan hermoso, es tan único y distintivo de otros colores de piel de todo el mundo. Esta canción también es un llamado a las mujeres africanas para que no alteren su color de piel porque son amadas, apreciadas y necesitan preservar su verdadera herencia negra. Son amadas tal como son, no hay necesidad de cambiar nada. Espero que todos disfruten 🎧 mi versión de este clásico de la leyenda viviente 2baba🙌.
