Hi everyone, I am so thrilled to bring to you the report of my week 2 ShoKin experience in the city of Uyo and week 14 since inception. I was the most happiest person to participate in our ShoKin day outing yesterday the 25th of January 2025 because circumstances surrounding me the previous week was evidence that I wasn't going to make it for the group shopping.
Last week precisely on the 21st of January 2025, my phone screen went completely blank due to the fall it encountered previous weeks ago, I was in total black out, no communication through any medium, remember the first ShoKin day experience I also had Whatsapp team shutting me out completely and couldn't communicate with my team members but eventually against all odds I was able to make it.
There is a saying that " when there is a will, there will be a way" ,earlier this year one of my goals was to try as much as I can to stay consistent on Hive and was determined to strive to keep focus no matter what and so here was another challenge facing me and I was not financially buoyant as at when it happened .
I was troubled as a person that I was going to miss because when I went to a phone repairer I was told that it will cost me 18.5HBD and since I didn't have such amount with me I returned disappointed. When I got home, my husband told me not to worry that I will get it fix and I believed Him and as well prayed for God to make a way. Saturday morning came and just as my husband had encouraged me the money came , I left very early at about 7.30am Nigerian time so that I will be able to meet up by 11 am Nigerian time which was scheduled by my leader @ijelady.
Immediately the phone was fixed I called my leader to know if I could still meet up and she asked me to come over, I was so happy when I arrived knowing that I was not left out. Moral lesson in all that I encountered in previous weeks taught be to be persistent no matter the challenge. We visited judel Supermarket and I did a lot of shopping and some of the items I shopped included;
- 5 packets of noodles
- 1 packet of Yale biscuits
- 1 small size of Vaseline
- a medium size of oracare toothpaste
- 1 packet of digestive biscuits
I left as one who had been victorious in all I encountered during the week and that boosted my enthusiasm to keep pushing forward. Thanks 🙏 for reading through my blog see you in my next blog.
