Due to the weather forecast, the boat trip didn't take place. It was "DIY City Trip" and billiard day and it seems some went to dancing until 4am, wow!
As I'm a early bird gardener and not good at handling loud sounds and tobacco smoke, I focused more on exploring the city of Split by myself still having my mind with Hive. So when you want to read about the evening to morning fun time and parties, take a look at posts on the Hive Fest community 😉
Here is my Day 4!
For "DIY City Trip", everyone did what they want. I took a walk and enjoyed seeing plants and trees. Fig, Pomegranate and citrus trees are everywhere in Split. When I take photos of plants, I think about @hivegarden and I feel like as if I'm making souvenir for gardening friends on Hive 😊
Olive trees make fruits, which I don't see much in Germany. I realize that I am in an area with a Mediterranean climate and I am a bit envious. I like Germany though 😉
For food friends on Hive, here are photos of the fish market. Excuse me, veg/vegans ... Having a kitchen at an Airbnb accommodation might be great to cook fresh food from local markets.
I enjoyed taking walk randomly through narrow streets in the downtown.
I met @hallmann and @foggymeadow on a street. I thought I can catch them for chat again in the billiard hall in the afternoon but I couldn't make it. I regret that I didn't go for a walk with them as I am curious about their practice in Krakow; "Kingdom", a non-commercial meeting space that utilizes Hive. You can find the detail of Kingdom in the @hallmann 's talk from Day 2.
Actually I had a chance to visit Kingdom last autumn for @hivebeecon but my family was sick and I couldn't visit there. But Krakow is not so far from eastern Germany so I might find a chance to visit Kingdom 😊
After a city walk in the morning, I visited the billiard club. As I mentioned, I couldn't handle the sounds and smoke, I left there shortly. But it was nice to have a chat with @techcoderx and one from Mexico lived in Tokyo (sorry, I couldn't find your Hive name 🙏) who were also outside the hall.
I went back to the hotel to see I could swim again. Unfortunately it was too cold. So I was reflecting the inspiring days and started to writing cards for those I prepared souvenir.
After the meditation-ish writing time, my Japanese stomach asked me seafood and rice ... 🇯🇵 🐟 There was a nice-looking restaurant named "Laf" on my way back close to the hotel. I looked it up online and found it had both rice and seafood for good price. As I booked the hotel really late in the last minutes, it's a bit remote. But good thing happen. The restaurant is in a residential area and looks more for locals 😊
A glass of Croatian white wine and fried crispy Karamari was a perfect dinner for me. But a Croatian portion was large enough for two people as someone wrote in his/her post recently. People working there were friendly. I may come back here for night time snack after the closing party to try another dish.
Another good thing happened. I could find and book a short sunset boat tour for an affordable price for this evening 🥳 I was a bit sad because my beloved grandpa was a captain of tanker ships that transported cars from Japan and I wanted to see the ocean probably he saw from his ship. But now I have a boat tour.

天気の影響で、昨日予定されていたボートトリップは日曜日に延期になりました。日曜日にスプリトを発つので参加できません 😭 その代わりに、Day 4は「DIYシティトリップ」とビリヤードの日となり、一部の人たちはなんと朝4時までダンスを楽しんだようです！
私は大きな音やタバコの煙が苦手なので、心はHive Festとともにありつつ、スプリトの街を探索することにしました。夜から朝にかけてのパーティーや楽しい時間については、Hive Festコミュニティにこれから投稿されると思います😉
ではでは私のDay 4のレポートです！
「DIYシティトリップ」では、みんなそれぞれ好きなことをしました。私は散歩に出かけ、植物や木々を見て歩きました。スプリトでは、イチジクやざくろ、柑橘類の木がいたるところに見られます。植物の写真を撮るときは、@hivegarden のことが頭に浮かんで、Hiveのガーデニング仲間へのお土産を作っているような気分になります😊
オリーブの木には実がついていて、ドイツではあまり見かけない光景です。改めてスプリトは地中海性気候の地域であることを実感し、少しうらやましく思いました。でも、もちろんドイツも好きです 😉 イチヂクはドイツでも育つのでしっかり木を手入れして大きくしたいと思いました。
食通のHiveのみなさんには、魚市場の写真があります。ベジタリアンやヴィーガンの人はごめんなさい ... 今回はホテルに泊まりましたが、Airbnbの宿でキッチン付だと、地元の市場で買った新鮮な食材を料理できていいなあと思いました。
魚市場を見たあとは街中の細い路地を気ままに歩き回って楽しみました。
散歩をしていたら @hallmann さんや @foggymeadow さんに出会いました。午後にビリヤードホールで再会しておしゃべりできるかと思っていましたが、残念ながら会えず。彼らと一緒に散歩に行かなかったのが悔やまれます。HallmannさんたちはKrakowで「Kingdom」というHiveを活用したコミュニティスペースを運営していて、Kingdomの活動にとても興味があって、同じく東ヨーロッパ組ということもあり、お話したかったのです。Kingdomについて詳しくは @hallmann さんのDay 2のトークをどうぞ。
実は昨秋 @hivebeecon でKingdomを訪れる機会があったのですが、家族が体調を崩して行けませんでした。でも、Krakowは私が住んでいる地域からそれほど遠くはないので、いつか訪れるチャンスがありそうです😊
午前中の散歩の後、ホテルで一休みしてビリヤードクラブに行ってみました。先に述べた通り、私は大きな音や煙が苦手で、少しだけいてビリヤードクラブをあとにしました。短い滞在だったものの @techcoderx さんやメキシコ出身で以前東京に住んでいたビットコイナーさん（Hiveネームがわからずすみません 🙏）と外でおしゃべりできて楽しかったです。
もう一度泳げるかどうかを試すためにホテルに戻りましたが、残念ながら寒くて無理でした。泳ぐ代わりに刺激的な4日間を振り返りつつ、お土産を準備した人たちへのカードを書き始めました。
瞑想のようなライティングタイムの後、私の日本人の胃袋が魚とお米を要求し始めました 😂 🐟 🇯🇵 ホテルへ戻る途中に見つけた「Laf!」という素敵なレストランをオンラインで調べたところ、手頃な価格で魚介類もお米も食べられることがわかりました。私は直前にホテルを予約して少し街中から離れた場所に滞在していますが、良いこともありますね。このレストランは住宅街にあり、地元の人向けのようです😊
クロアチアの白ワインとカリカリに揚げたイカのフライは完璧な夕食でした。スタッフの方も親切でした。街中はものすごく高いし、食べたいシーフードは見つからず、カジュアルに一人で座りにくいのが気になってしまい。ただ、最近誰かが投稿していたように、クロアチアの料理のポーションは本当に大きくて、以下の唐揚げはゆうに2人分ありました。今日のクロージングパーティーの後にまた夜食を食べに来るかもしれません。
そして、もう一つ良いことがありました！ボートツアーを諦めきれずに探していたら、手頃な価格で夕暮れ時の短いボートツアーを予約できたのです🥳 大好きだった祖父が日本から車を運ぶタンカー船の船長だったので、彼が見たかもしれない海を見たくて、その願いが叶ってうれしいです。
今日は素晴らしいHive Fest最終日になりそうです。みなさん良い一日、良い週末を！
