Screening at HiveFest
One of the most emotional and uplifting moments at the recent HiveFest in Split was the screening of the Hive Waterwell Project in Ghana, featuring @mcsamm and @mynewlife. It was a heartfelt occasion, filled with joy, achievement, and a strong sense of community empowerment.
While the audience at HiveFest was watching a film, I was witnessing a transformation, a testament to the impactful work being done. The construction and dedication of 17 water wells in Ghanaian villages showcase how powerful the Hive blockchain has become. For the residents of these communities, it’s more than just a project. it’s a game changer, a caring platform, and a technology that promises a lasting legacy.
Film Acknowledgment
I want to extend my deepest appreciation to @mynewlife, whose artistic skills brought this film to life. He joined me on this journey to Ghana to ensure that the world could feel the impact and beauty this project represents. His dedication and sacrifice were evident as he immersed himself in the Ghanaian culture, capturing the essence of the Ghanaian people through his lens. Every shot he directed was filled with beauty and significance, and I admire the hard work he put into this project. Let’s all take a moment to thank @mynewlife for the incredible work he has done to showcase our story.
Similarly, @missbitcoin-sv joined me on this journey to witness the water wells in Ghana. Her presence made the experience even more powerful, and the communities were thrilled to welcome us back. I’m sure she enjoyed her stay and the rich culture of Ghana. Thank you both for the impactful work you have done with me. Your efforts have contributed significantly to the project and this film, which we can now share with the world to illustrate the power of the Hive blockchain.

Community Support
The film was showcased at the Hive conference to highlight the results of the investment made into the Hive Waterwell Project. It served as a moment to appreciate the impact of this initiative and to emphasize why the Hive Waterwell must continue to expand into other regions facing similar challenges.
The narration of the Waterwell film has given people reasons to support this cause. I am thrilled to receive any support, donations, upvotes, or assistance to promote and continue the borehole project, which not only empowers Ghanaian communities but also enhances the Hive blockchain's recognition for its impact in Ghana.
As the project manager, I want to extend a huge thanks to @t-r-f for the previously donated HiveFest travel funds towards the project and to all the fellow Hivers who contributed. Your support is invaluable, and we are excited to collaborate on making a difference and promoting the blockchain through these initiatives.
The Hive Boreholes Impacts
The main objective of the Hive borehole project in Ghana is community empowerment, and I believe this goal has been well realized. However, the project also brings numerous additional benefits that shouldn’t be overlooked. The availability of potable water significantly improves health and quality of life in these communities, reducing waterborne diseases and increasing productivity. It also fosters community unity and engagement, as residents work together to maintain and benefit from the water wells.
The Waterwell project has drawn a lot of interest and attention to the Hive blockchain. Hive's popularity has grown in Ghana and beyond as a result of the media attention it received during the launch, attracting the interest of different stakeholders. One example of this increased visibility is from last year's TechEx conference in Amsterdam when my presentation attracted @elmirabear, a UNICEF representative. Her strong involvement with Hive and her efforts on a DAO initiative based on the Hive blockchain are encouraging.
In Ghana, the borehole project has opened doors for investors, students, traditional leaders, and educators through the various conferences we’ve organized to discuss Hive and its social impacts. This has led to significant onboarding activity in Ghana, with over 1,000 sign-ups resulting from our tech conferences.
As the project manager, I’m excited that the Hive Waterwell initiative has not only empowered communities in Ghana but has also provided substantial publicity for the Hive blockchain. It has created opportunities for onboarding new users, many of whom are thriving on the blockchain. We have a vibrant community of young people contributing great value to Hive.
What next?
As project managers (@mcsamm & @collinz) we’re working diligently to attract more investors and young individuals to the blockchain. We aim to ensure that the communities receiving these water wells also gain internet access, allowing young people to acquire skills that will enhance their contributions to the blockchain. Given the challenges of internet access and electricity in many Ghanaian villages, we’re exploring the best ways to provide support in these areas.
We are also concentrating on integrating businesses into the ecosystem through the SpendHBD initiative in addition to continuing to enroll a large number of Ghanaians into the Hive blockchain. The project has shown to be a successful and potent means of introducing Hive to businesses. My experience of transactions with @missbitcoin-sv on SpendHBD to make purchases at stores in Ghana went smoothly and successfully. With these encouraging outcomes, we feel confident bringing this initiative to additional Ghanaians in order to support their companies and spread Hive and HBD.
Conclusion
To the entire Hive ecosystem, I am immensely grateful for the support received and the willingness to assist this project. The contributions from @valueplan and others have been incredible. Together, we have a powerful story to tell the world and a mission to build a better blockchain.
This narrative will forever advocate for Hive and demonstrate its powerful potential. Through this film, let us promote the Hive blockchain, celebrate our success stories, and highlight the transformative impact of technology. This has the potential to attract investors and visionary minds eager to add value to our blockchain.
