For the first time in almost 3 years, I feel not just not dead, but ALIVE!
I want to remember, hold on to, and fully live every moment, absorbing the views, scents and sounds, savoring life like before, before...
And I regret that I can't be in several places at once. Swimming in the sea and wandering the ancient stone streets of the old town with my family @nataliabuchynska and @tmw (I am happy when they are happy).
And also learning new things about Hive and its projects, listening to presentations from speakers, and giving them my support. Talking with my friends, whom I miss so much, and making new friends.
I'd like to express my deep gratitude and delight to @Lordbutterfly for all of this. For the high level of organization, the thoughtful details, the picturesque and ancient locations, the incredibly delicious food, and the entire unforgettable experience that made our time in this amazing place even better. Whoever came up with the idea to hold the festival in Croatia, it was the perfect location!
Day 1 of the conference took place in a Meštrović Gallery located on a hill overlooking a picturesque bay.
At the bottom of the hill is Beach Jezinac - the best beach in Split. My daughter fell in love with this place at first sight.
I was walking in the shade of the trees when I saw a turtle running towards me. Yes, it was clearly following me quite quickly, I think it just sensed our friendly vibe 😄.

Later, my husband found her hiding place. And her sister/partner maybe 😉😊🥰
And here is the cicada shell. Perhaps it died after attacking @roelandp during the opening of the first day.😬
More pictures of me and @nataliabuchynska by @Jarvie.❤️ The rare case when I have a good picture of me.😊
In the evening, we were treated to a gourmet dinner at a seaside restaurant. It was top-notch!!! Absolutely all the food was the best I've had in the past year (at least).
We took this picture for our friend @sjarvie5. We missed her so much!
At the end, there was an informal
and spontaneous photoshoot by @Jarvie (a photographer always stays a photographer) and live music. We listened to covers of famous songs, but I liked the Balkan melodies the most.
Day 2 started with a greeting from none other than the Roman Emperor Diocletian himself, as the conference took place in his palace. If you don't believe me go check yoursel.
Yes, we were his guests, and tourists would occasionally walk into our hall, creating a fun mix of formal and informal. As @Roelandp said, HiveFest is a reason to come together.🥰🧡
The perfect ending to the second day was the variety of cold beers from @detlev. 🍺
That was the end of the official part, but not of HiveFest.
