Being Honest With You, Why I Joined These Crypto Blogging Sites

I'd like to explain why blogging on these sites is a full-time job for me and why I panic and get upset when my earnings get lower over the years
I thought I'd put it out there. I've received harassment/judgment as a result.

I joined Steemit back in 2017 due to unemployment, before, my main issue was finding employment due to autism. I struggle with auditory processing issues, sensory issues, remembering verbal instructions, etc. I decided to turn to content creation. YouTube moved the goal post on their monetization. Since these sites are at my fingertips, these sites are a good way to get started.

On steemit, my earnings started OK, then they got so low I only managed to get 2-3 cents per post, and it took 5 months to get one SBD unless I got lucky and a post did better. I use your votes to help me understand how you feel about the content. I do gaming, your votes help me see where you're at with the game I'm playing. When everything is flopping, it's hard to pinpoint what you like and what you like the least.

I later started dealing with chronic illness, which started happening around lockdown, and due to chronic illness, freelance work, gig work, and content creation are the only jobs I can do. Streaming, I have my schedule, my flow, I can take all the breaks I need, and I can stream a different day if I'm too unwell.
these jobs fit my needs because I can take time off for flares, I can schedule posts ahead of time, and have some drafts ready, if I am up for streaming for 3 hours, I can do that without any problems. If I need a day off, I can do that and post drafts I saved/prepped in the event I get sick, lose internet, travel, etc.

My earnings picked up when I started making upgrades to my YouTube channel. They started falling off in April 2022. I tried changing up my content to no avail. As a YouTuber, I learned to change up my content when it started flopping. I dropped from 3/4 credits a post to how my earnings were pre-epidemic. I am unsure if I did or said something wrong. I did learn fake accounts were voting for my posts and had no idea until Adm came out and voted recent posts to 0. NO communication, no comment telling me what I did wrong and where to message them. How my posts will perform is like the lottery. Also, I was using a trading platform that was bleeding me dry with its high fees. Even 60 bucks can help me for 2 weeks, Ionomy taking half the money didn't help. I'm glad I found Simple Swap. I wish I had posted on Dbuzz sooner asking what alternatives are out there.

It's possible, that's why my earnings dropped like flies, maybe someone else knew the accounts voting for me were phony and assumed I bought them when I didn't even know they were fake, and they stopped supporting me. Hive Watchers thought the accounts were mine and I was upvoting myself. No one likes a cheater. No one likes that one guy who tried to cheat their way to the top. So perhaps people thought I bought the accounts to vote for my posts when I didn't know they were fake, to begin with.

Also what caused my financial struggles is having to give my grandma 125 bucks of my already limited funds. The furnace needed to be replaced in December 2021, ASAP, because 4 Seasons said the furnace was on its last leg, and if it failed, the results would be catastrophic. I didn't want to die in my sleep, so I agreed to help my grandma, this is when my earnings were still strong. Most of my earnings were from Steemit when the SBD price was high. As a result of the sudden circumstances, this caused my check to be shorter. I collect monthly benefits to allow me to build content creation. Right now, what I made from content creation doesn't pay the bills. It adds to my benefits, not much, even adding 60 dollars can help. I made the money back crypto blogging until my earnings fell off. I made back the 125 dollars I had to give my grandma before the drop-off. I can make mistakes or not realize I'm doing something wrong. If I am not posting in the right group, let me know the group the content will fit. If I said something I may not have realized came out a certain way, let me know.

I will experiment with different times. Say my readers are in the USA, posting at midnight.. they won't see it. By the time they log on, the algorithm pushed the post further down. It's possible I'm not uploading at the right time.

I also have a substack where I talk about disability, chronic illness, and being a content creator. This provides more information. Substack sends blogging content to your email. No need to rely on a crappy social media algorithm to see posts from your favorite blogger.

I promote other ways you can support me because I don't want to only rely on Hive. I don't know how successful Hive will be in 5 years. I joined Steemit in 2017 and it's dead now. Most of yall from Steemit came here when the new CEO took over. I remember realizing Hive existed before lockdowns. You might get bored with Hive, and leave the platform, and promoting my YouTube or Twitch allows you to find me elsewhere. If Hive watchers can assume I am cheating simply because I'm a small blogger and see me as a target, I don't want to put my eggs in one basket. being a small creator, it's hard to expand your options. Also if one site goes down, I can look for info on the other site.

Knowing what will do well and what will flop is the difficult part.
I want to try one of my photos instead of stock photos to see if that helps viewers connect to the post more.

I have zero intentions of coming off as thinking I'm entitled to upvotes for being chronically ill.
Also, your votes help me see where you're at with the content, I do gaming, therefore your votes help me see where you're at with the game. If you're voting for GTA V, I know you want to see that. if you're not voting for Alan Wake, I know you like that game the least and it will get a game movie instead. Your votes work as feedback. A simple smash or pass.

Hi there @aaliyahholt

I have given up trying to figure out which posts of mine get rewarded on Hive.

However, I do strive to publish the best posts I can, in Hive communities that I engage with.

If I am having fun, then I keep doing things. I think most of would love getting good rewards.

I take nothing for granted, my advice for anyone is to focus on a few communities and get out there and engage with community members. Are you posting in the right communities, have you read the rules etc....

We get lots of users posting in Silver Bloggers think we are silver coins etc but we are silver haired bloggers aged 40 and up.

As for photos I rarely use stock photos. We all have amazing cameras on our phones and we can create photos out of anything.

I worry about 3speak as that has been weeks if not months it has been out of order!

Do you engage in Discord servers?

There are so many ways to increase our engagement on Hive, being a good Hivian to the ecosystem and you never know... an upvote or two might come your way!

maybe 3speak is dead, it's been down since late October or November. No updates or anything.
I try to look for groups in which my content might fit better. I post gaming content in hive gaming. I could use geek zone but due to language barriers, there could be miscommunication, etc.

Getting upvoted in hive is like magic' and am still trying to figure out what time is best to get upvoted by people' maybe you right' may be the timing matters or not who knows the best I can do now is to just keep writing

There are a lot of things I'm trying to figure out as well.

Yahh we all do
