Well!...another year has come to an end and we're already half way through the first term of 2023.
I can't say I'm sad to see the end of it, last year was a very challenging one for us, and I'm sure, for many people, a lot of heart breaking things have happened around the world as we all know.
But!...lets not harp on the negative.
Pondering over #BOM (Blog of the Month) theme "New Years Resolution", I had to have a little chuckle.

We start off with such good intentions and truly believe in our Resolutions for the New Year.
Every New Years Eve, as soon as the clock strikes midnight and the fire crackers go off, we cheer the new year in, then announce our "New Years Resolution", hoping the year to come, will be better than the last year.
Will it be?...I don't know what's install for me in this coming year.
I started it off with a good few bumps, dentists and doctors bills, then fighting with the medical-aid, knocking me off track a bit and wondering how I was going to pull myself out of the ditch I fell into.
It took a good few adjustments here and there, I might add, thank God it wasn't too deep for me to crawl out of, I mean...crawl out Lol!.
Omg!...this is how my "New Years Resolution" on paper started off, quite proudly written on my Weekly Planner I'd receive from my dear friend Lizelle for my birthday last year, thought I'd put it to good use.
Oh yes!...it all started with great enthusiasm, even attempted some Couch Yoga for seniors I came across on Face Book, looked quite invigorating I must say Hehe!.
Talk about keeping fit and loosing 10kgs...Oh my word... sadly the exercises didn't last 10 minutes.
I think I'll stick to my housework chores to keep me fit...maybe with a few extra moves and jives...just to make it more interesting.
Even got my paints out, it all started off well, messing about with a few acrylic colours on canvas.
Then the HDHD gremlin decided to distract me some what, diverting my attention towards the kitchen, wondering what Silver Mamma Chef was up to, as it was almost dinner time.
I asked Silver Mamma Chef, what would it be for lunch today...Mutton Curry and Rice or Lettuce Salad, seeing one of my New Years Resolution is to start eating healthy and lose some weight.
She gave me a sideways glance. I mean...she knows me better than I know myself.
It didn't take much convincing Lol!.
I could always start my diet tomorrow, or next Monday hey!... what do you think?.
I'm afraid, the first week of my plan, didn't work out well at all.
So I'll settle for plan B in 2023, which is... take one day at a time, do what you can and don't feel pressured by circumstances or things, life is too short and it's up to you to make it sweet.
My conclusion is...I am who I am… I can only try to be a better me.
Tell me...how does one change old habits after 68 years on this planet?
I've been slightly over weight all my life, I'll try and eat less OK...at my age the metabolism has a few hic-ups you know.
- I eat fairly healthy, I'm cooking in my air-fryer now, cutting down on fats.
- I should post more on Hive... I know.
- I will walk more...tomorrow... I promise.
- I will do more art...I made a start.
I'm healthy, and happy with who I am in 2023, I think I'll take life one day at a time.
My New Year Resolution is to be Happy, Healthy, (I'd like to be wealthy) instead I'll chillout more and... bloody will do what makes me happy.
Posting on Hive makes me happy, it's a wonderful place to let off steam, and interact with the wonderfully diverse culture we have around the world, you make me feel wealthy, you really do.
My arts and crafts is another happy place in my life, it makes me very, very happy in fact.
Will happily do more and show it off to you.
My motto for 2023 is *Plan B
- Make life sweet.
- Be kinder to others, you never know what they're going through.
- Love yourself more, don't be to hard on you.
- Smile more, send love and positive energy towards others.
- Laugh more, just chill.
So... there is always plan B when your New Years Resolution doesn't completely work out.
Sending lots of positive energy and love to you all.
May 2023 be full of laughter, fun and positive energy, love you all.
Until next time.
