In my experience school friendships that last over time become family. Yesterday was a happy day! My friend M came to Venezuela after 8 years, she came with the intention to vote in the elections that we have at the end of the month and to visit her family and friends. So yesterday, my friend E and I went to look for M to go out for lunch together.
E picked me up and we went together. There were many hugs, joy, and also tears of emotion. I have never been one to have many friends, but those I call my friends are my friends at heart.
Of course, we joke a lot about how good we look for our age, lol.
It's always so nice to see that even though the years go by and our lives have taken different paths, every time we meet, it's as if time hasn't passed and we are still those young girls who used to go everywhere together.
We went to lunch and toasted to life.
We caught up, joked, and promised to do it again before M goes home in a couple of weeks.
We went to eat sushi at a place called Sushi & Ceviches where we like to go because of the good value for money. We ate sushi and ceviche and had a couple of beers, or maybe it was three LOL. And we laughed a lot.
After dropping M off at home, and on our way to mine, E's car suddenly overheated without any warning. And we ended up riding in a tow truck.
My friend was worried about the car but then burst into laughter and we made our way to her house chatting and laughing. And my hubby came to the rescue to pick me up at E's house, hehe.
So even that couldn't dampen the beautiful afternoon we spent together. And it will surely add to the hundreds of anecdotes we have shared and will be the subject of jokes in our next get-together LOL.
So yesterday I came home grateful to life for another day and for having been able to share a part of the day with my friends. 😄
