I loathe the cold and I hate getting up in the dark. No, I would not survive in the Northern Hemisphere where the cold and short days are much, much more intense than here.
The sun was just rising as I packed the pickup for the market on Saturday: a 4°C sunrise.
Everybody was looking for warmth. We knew that the winter blue skies belied the wind and rain that was coming. The birds, too, revelled in it.
On the church spire.
Here's a set of snaps as they sunned themselves and flew about the parapets.
By mid-afternoon, the clouds were heavy and the wind was driving the rain...so began what will be a mostly wet and windy week.
Until next time

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm still re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
