Hello, Silver Bloggers!
Here we are again to showcase another bunch of posts from our Silver Bloggers - it's that time when we share some of your gems.
We appreciate your posts in the community, so as long as we have posts from our Silver Bloggers, we will try to highlight some of them.
But first, let me tell you how we selected the posts.
Selection criteria
All the posts are chosen from posts in the community, and from accounts that have subscribed to the Silver Bloggers' community. Also, the topic must fit in with our general themes as set out on our community page -
- a keenness to learn more about blockchain and crypto
- life experiences
- musings and memories of lives lived
- planning for (and doing) life beyond formal work
Posts that are a response to #BOM and #SilverPrompts or any contest in the community are not considered.
If you missed some of those awesome posts, we encourage you to go back and read them. If you would still like to support the authors, even though some are past their payout dates: don't waste your vote, leave a tip. (The web versions of @peakd and @ecency offer this facility.)

One day, an aunt showed up with a newspaper clipping, to tell me that I had a chance until the next day to submit my papers and enroll in the pedagogical school, and so I did and began to study there, the teaching career, which was the one that gave me the most satisfaction throughout my life.
Memoir Monday #50 - What Sign(s) from the Universe Did You Totally Ignore at First? How did you finally “get the message”?

I am not sure at what age I started to feel and do this but the earliest I remember I was about 8 years old and I started to go into our house and as I touched the doorknob, my knees started to shake. Scared I did not open the door but my little brother did and my little sister followed him inside, and as soon as they went inside a civic cat sprayed them. I got the message that when my knees shook, I knew something was not right.

I often think of that day. I have no doubt that those three warnings came to me from somewhere. Had I not heeded the signs and continued to the center, it is likely that I would have encountered the landslide on my way back. The result could have been very unpleasant. Fortunately I followed my intuition.
Let yourself be loved, it doesn't hurt

Love is everywhere, we can all feel it if we want it, open your heart, do not keep it empty, let it fill with the friendship of simple people who come into your life. Friendship does not necessarily have to be that complicity, that secrecy, that compinchismo as we say here in Venezuela. Friendship is the simplest thing in the world, just let yourself be loved, it doesn't hurt and it's free.

The first time I met X (we are not going to name him) I didn't like him. My body rejected him completely and although he tried to be nice, I think I exchanged two or three words with him. No more. That was the first sign of danger I should have noticed, but only animals are able to smell when they are facing a threat.

Now, before you get the wrong idea .. I’m not out there randomly stopping at dumpsters, scaling the side, and diving headfirst into unknown horrors. Nope. I have no desire to run into a raccoon, or worse, a dead body. (Yeah, no thanks.) My ‘dumpster diving’ is far more selective .. and honestly, it kind of just happens as part of the job.
