Hello Silvery souls, it's been a while :) I hope everyone's doing great. Days are dragging fast!
The husband and I had been meaning to take a drive to the city and that has been long overdue as our last city visit was pre-pandemic. Although we had been to the neighboring places, we've never gone within the city walls in the last two years (well except for the husband who went a couple of times for some errands).
It's funny how easy it is for us to become so engrossed with other things that at times we forget to have a wee break from all the "busyness" in the mundane things we intentionally put ourselves into. Looking at old photos of places we've been to made me realize we've been missing a lot of adventure especially this year.
Speaking of photos, I found some which reminded me of a place near the city where we once dreamt to have our house built. It was meant to be developed into a subdivision and after looking into the plans for it and considering that a government agency was ready to help fund the project's development, we (including my siblings) decided to make downpayments and processed stuff.
Unfortunately, things turned ugly due to politics between the project developers and the contractors until the project's organization fell apart. It dragged on for a few years until we lost hope that the project will go on, let alone our monies going to be returned. So we just moved on...
Both the above landscapes were supposed to be our views had the project went through. But such is life, certain disappointments happen. For us, it's been a blessing in disguise because it made us consider looking at other options which thankfully got us where we now live, where we get not only many a view, but a lot more peaceful and a larger slice of extraordinary nature too.
And I got lost in that nostalgia, lol! Please forgive me, I just got carried away :) Hopefully soon, we'll get back to our little adventures.
