Pretty much on any family gatherings we have, the "young ones" kind of "instinctively" group themselves together and talk amongst themselves of stuffs they know and can relate with - mobile games, new mobile phone app, TikTok and what have yous.
While the young "once" do the same thing but with different topics - the past, mundane things, and when kids are mentioned, you're sure someone's going to say "oh kids these days are like this" and how they wished about that etcetera.
Time has evolved and although we would wish some things could be different, we just can't stop change nor force ways to be the same as they were 20-30-40 years ago. Aah, those nostalgic years we can only re-live in memories.
Perhaps today's Gen Z, the digitally-inclined generation would never grasp what it was like back then and get a taste of any of what we experienced even. Talk about having fun outdoors like we used to do:
Playing street games like patintero until we bath in our own sweat and our Moms would have to yell at the top of their lungs that it was time to eat before we disperse.
Enjoy playing Pick-Up Sticks and laugh until our stomachs hurt because one of us cannot even pick a single stick out without making a mess of everything. And oh the joy is just incomparable when one successfully finishes the game and the excitement to start all over again.

I don't get to see kids around here do this anymore. It's one of the things that children ages ago enjoy so much that they become good at swimming even without someone training them, lol!
Well, these are just some of the many things that the "young once" did for fun which youths of the present may never get to experience. Thinking about it, I just had to let go of a sigh because aren't they missing too much? Or maybe not...
And now I wonder, would any of today's youths know how to operate a VHS player when presented with one? Would they even have a clue of what we call "Betamax"? I guess they would be rolling their eyes on us on this one too.
