Hello Silver Bloggers! It's my first time posting here in this community so I hope to gain friends here!
Everyone of us has our own timing, my younger and I went to grade school together. Our age gap is just one year and when I was enrolled for first grade, he was with us so the enrollment officer suggested he can be enrolled too so from grade school up to high school, we were classmates.
But there's a disadvantage to that, he became very dependent on me, I had to answer his assignments, made his projects, and a lot more, I was making two of everything, those which I dislike, I give it to him.
Eventually, when we graduated high school and went to college, things were super different. We enrolled in different universities and just before the first semester ended, he got sick, he had to return to Bohol and enroll in a different school again in the second semester. To cut the long story short, it took him 14 years to graduate college.
There were several tough times for my parents during those years. But finally, he was able to march down and got his diploma! My parents are for sure happy and I was glad about his achievement too so I made it a point to get this moment captured for memory keepsake!
The event happened on the 6th of August, it was held at Jagna's Cultural Center. I was supposed to buy a cake to congratulate him but
Jagna Ran Out of Cakes!.
But before heading over to the location, my husband and I stopped by Cliff Haven and reserved a table for the family. It was a dinner to celebrate this achievement in life. My brother now has a family of his own but he is still very dependent to our parents.
This kind of setup is common in the country and although my parents would surely love that my brother can stand on his own, this is still not possible at this point. I am just grateful that my father or my parents have shown their love and responsibility.
There was one time when I asked my father why is he still sending my brother to school when he has already given him multiple chances yet he is just taking it all for granted.
And then my father replied, as long as he is still alive and able, he will support us, his children, it may look bad to others but this is his purpose in life.
I got teary-eyed just thinking of his response, it rebuked me. I am grateful to God for this moment of realization because if I was on my brother's shoes, my father would do the same for me. I may have graduated from college on time and to which he is very grateful so it is not something to complain about, but it is something to be appreciated.
I hope that my brother has already seen the heart of my father. This reflects the heart of God too, He wants the best for us, and He is always there, we just need to appreciate His goodness.
Anyway, after the ceremony which ended at around 6:30 PM, we headed to Cliff Haven for dinner. Food wasn't ready yet when we arrived there but it was fine as it was still early. After a few minutes, they started serving our orders.
Food at Cliff Haven is always good! Their pricing is also just understandable. I have dined here twice and this was the third time and all those times, they served us good and tasty food!
I had nothing to complain in fact, I always have praise for how they prepare the food served to their customers.
The cook himself is the house owner, this place is a house with a pool and restaurant. They accept guests any time of the day and their pool is also open to the public.
This place has a good overlooking view of the horizon and the sunset is really nice here but since we arrived after sunset, we got no view anymore, just the pool lights!
We had a great dinner in celebration of my brother's graduation. This might sound like the end of his school hustles but really, there is still a lot to do. He graduated from Marine Transportation and he will still have to undergo training.
But this is definitely a great stepping stone to his goals. My parents are proud that all of their children are degree holders. This is for them the trophy that every parent dreams of.
Thanks a lot for reading!
