I love the sound of the river and one can find life in the pools.
A place of peace and rest for one's soul, as the waters flow calmly past.
I will also show the birth of a small school of river trout in here, but first you will see a fallen branch of a tree, caused by an infestation of bugs. We have what they call the "Shot Hole Borer Beetle" and the beetles are not of South African origin, but rather an import from South East Asia. The suggestion is that they arrived during shipping in wooden pallets and they are sowing much destruction in our trees.
You can see the brown part of the break and the beetles ate away until the weight of the branch eventually caused it to break.
Not a very nice sight here, as that lovely tree lost a limb.
Tell me that you can see the little White-eye bird on a twig in the river?
He took a quick drink and then he was gone again.
The crab saw me and he scuttled sideways to find a suitable spot.
He found the spot and said. Bring it on mate, as I am now ready for you.
And now we were delighted to see the birth of baby trouts.
Can you see the little black spots on the rocks below the fish?
A closer look as mom watched over them.
Soon those little dark dots will be juveniles like these ones below.
This Orange-winged Dropwing dragonfly was bathing in the sun (Trithemis kirbyi).
Finally, here's a closer look of him on my zoom.
I like to share the places where we go with you, as nature is fabulous and it can revitalize one's senses. Clean mountain river water can also be a tonic that removes toxins from the body. Nowadays some of us depend on the fast foods market to keep us going in the rush of life, but such foods can be very detrimental to one's health. Some foods have antibiotics in it and by eating it, we now have antibiotic resistent super bugs making an appearance.
This is not thumbsuck, as have a look at this Forbes site.

So yes, the world is evolving and the viruses are also evolving. Of course, then we also have the climate changes that do not improve matters and the thing for me at least, is that all sit helpless in the middle of it.
Reminds me of song lyrics; When will they ever learn.
We are not really defenseless, as we can all make our voices heard for the sake of our future generations. This life is all about money and profits and it was enhanced by the recent Covid lockdowns.
In order for balance and sanity, we really need to start making the changes in our lives to keep things intact for our children, and their children, and their children.
How sad that we as humans have not been good stewards of the earth and the animals.
How can it be okay to pump chickens, pigs, cattle, and sheep with medicines? How can it be okay to allow sewerage to spew into the oceans?
How is it okay to give people unnatural foods? Foods that harm and do not heal?
May we have voices to protect this beautiful planet. And may we be united in our efforts to make a change.
And That's All Friends.
