A guy had his efforts on display amongst some trees and it was lovely.
Now to us who were born here, each of these pictures tell a different story.
Let me just say that this guy is very good at what he does. The pictures have a vibrancy and they speak of life here in Africa.
I love the colors and the depictions of different contexts. I was about 100 meters away, but thankfully my zoom did the job quite admirably.
Come and have a look.
An old farm scene with some mountains in the background.
Either thatch for huts, or firewood that the ladies were carrying on their heads.
Then some more township pictures.
South Africa is a very large country and each of the scenes above were painted from the guy's memory of sights that he has seen. There is a big difference between rural life and "modern" township living and he has captured the differences very succinctly in colors.
We are in a rural town and the scenes fit perfectly in over here.
I only wonder how he would display the life in the big city of Cape Town here, as I think that he will do a great job of displaying the harbor and so many other lovely scenes. Of course with our big table mountain and the Atlantic ocean in the background.
Maybe I will mention it to him, but I love the rural scenes more.
Hope that you have enjoyed the artworks.
And That's All Friends.
