Last week I was very impressed by the freshly-polished, gleaming and sparkling toilet in a hospital that I happened to visit. I have to say that it looked so beautiful, I felt like I was in a 5-star hotel! The janitor spent time making the toilet look so nice. He used tissue paper, cleaned the mirror and polished every inch of the toilet until it shone. In addition to his hard work, there were beautiful posters and cut-offs of butterflies which added a nice decorative touch.
I admired the janitor for his hard work and dedication in keeping the toilet so clean and beautiful. This goes to show that when you take pride in your work, it really shows. It doesn't really matter what post you are writing, whether it be a blog or just an entry on your personal website. By taking pride in your work, you turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

This definitely deserves many thumb-ups.
Taking pride in your job is about doing the best job that you are capable of doing. When you give your best, your passion for your job will shine through.
This puts you in a positive and happy mindset, resulting in more job satisfaction. Your colleagues will notice this too and it creates an excellent example for other people to follow. This can be contagious and others may start giving their best too.
Taking pride in your work shows others that you are dedicated and interested in making things better. And, things do actually become better. In this case, the patrons of the toilet have a better experience. What you give out, comes back to you. At the end of the day, you become a better person and better at what you are doing.
So lets us start creating the extraordinary at our workplace by taking pride in our work.
