Daughters are special
Time flies, and as the kids grow, we realize that they are special in their own way. This photo on the right is from 2012, when she was just few months old and the one left is from now. Our responsibility as Parent starts from the birth itself ( or even prior), slowly the time with them become enjoyable, so much so that, we pass the time, without even realizing that we are growing older, and they are growing fast. Every kid is different, inheriting some nature from someone in the family, which you will realize, as they grow younger.
Over the time, their appearance changes, their behavior changes and they start becoming responsible. Daughters are more special in the sense that, they behave more responsibly sooner than boys. She has already demonstrated her sharp memory by bagging few gold medals in the academics, so we just need to guide her in next few years to stay in the track.
On the occasion of this birthday, she wanted to watch a Japanese anime movie in theater, a headphone as a gift and go to Wonderla, which is now open very near to my native home. I am not sure, how these kids are learning Japanese language by just watching these animes, but since this was not in my radar, we decided to split and me and my son went for another movie and she gave the company to Sara, even though she knew that, she won't enjoy. That's the responsibility on us - we have to be with them and can't leave them alone with friends, till we feel they are sufficiently responsible. And on times, they will develop some liking's, that we may not like, but there comes the special negotiation skills - making them understand what is good and what is bad for them, explain them all the whys, consequences, limits..Sometimes it's a straight no, but unlike our time, you will still have to explain them the reasons repeatedly in different tones, making them feel like it's not enforced, rather its beneficial for them. Kids now know a lot than we used to know in our time, and some situations are so tough to handle, but we have to be very patient, and befriend them to make them confident. And sometimes you have to let go - allow if its not harmful, like this Japanese anime. Wonderla and headphone have been negotiated to happen a little late - she is developing patience as she grows.
Like any other kid, she loves teddy and picked one from the Hamleys store, but at the same time, she was cautious about the price, so that it does not pinch my pocket a lot. Who do she looks like ? Some says she has gone after her.
Then the dinner at our favorite restaurant, to make her feel special. On this day, let me share a very very special memory of her with my father from twelve years back - a memory to cherish forever.
And on our way to the movie, we discovered the new Tata brand JUDIO shopping mall, which is crazy amongst kids / teens for its affordable price range, more to come on that...
