Though I do not have much personal experience, I would like to share a few things that came into my mind. This was in mid 80's, when I was in high school, me and my friends were great fans of Bollywood stars and cricketers to name a few. In the absence of teachers we used to display the posters of our favorite stars. If in the presence of teachers, sure we would end up in trouble. But that way we were lucky, we were very lucky. We girls (as called in 80's) had the most wonderful time.

Even we got addicted to some of the favorite colours of the stars. Some of them wore yellow shirts, a one time favorite colour of few bollywood stars, came trending among girls and boys. Loose yellow shirts with baggie pants, as they call. But these craze lasted only for few months. The Bell bottom pants and the hip waist pants was also trending, once upon a time.

As we girls were already in our teens, we used to admire some of our teachers dressing style and sense. Among them were few countable teachers who used to wear georgette and chiffon sarees, a one time craze, which definitely gave them a unique look. The elegance in how they dressed, commanded respect. We never missed any opportunity to talk to them, just to feel their presence and this made us more confident.

The much talked about music band in 1980's, the Boney M disco group, was of great demand among our boys. Infact, my brother being one among them. He was so crazy that he used to gather all the latest collections from his cousin, who was residing abroad. It was being played in many functions, probably where the youngsters involved.

One of the most beautiful memory that I could recollect is the typing Institute. The instructor was very strict. It was an hour's class after college time. The main purpose of going to the institute was to make more friends. The Institute timing was 10 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Each class lasted only for hour. So you could imagine the number of students thay visited the Institute. The most enjoyable time that was because we got acquainted with too many frienda from other colleges. Today, I don't find typewriter anywhere, except in the courtrooms. Technology has advanced a lot, that computer has completely replaced typewriter.

These are few things that came to my mind of the yesteryear fads. Photos captured are my own.

Wishing you all a great day ahead. Thankyou for your visit.

What's the difference between a well-dressed man and a tired dog?
The man wears an entire suit, the dog just pants.
